Honestly, I don't think it matters unless the fixtures are large and shows a lot of metal on each. My kitchen has a large orb faucet, knobs and handles. The ceiling and window light fixtures have shiny nickel for the base, but the eye goes to the red and white striped school house cover. I used all shiny nickel in the utility room right off the kitchen, only because it's a smaller room and I wanted it more uniform. One of the rooms off the LR has a shiny gold base. I'm more into the light covers than I am into the fixture itself. I have a thing for the glass on light fixtures. lol

I'm looking for a stainless steel faucet for my remodeled kitchen and Grohe's Ladylux3 seems a good choice. However, in the show room the "stainless steel" ones look a bit yellowish (less than Satin Nickel but still). I've also seen pictures that are not yellow. Could this be that one is SuperSteel and the other is RealSteel? I cannot find conclusive answers to this, and I know pictures could be misleading due to lighting conditions. Does anyone know if the two finishes have different tones and one could be more yellow than the other? Thanks.
