As for left hand and right hand bolts, here's several instances: One old Dodge product had left hand threads in the wheel nuts. Created a problem for those who borrowed Dad's old Mopar product, and had a flat on the road. Also, my 1948 MG TC, right hand drive Roadster , had "Knock-off" wheel retainers, with "Near side" on one pair, and "off-side" on the other. Near side was for the drivers side, off side for the passenger side. You couldn't get them mixed up! Or could you? A shop i worked in had one of that model in for repairs, brakes, tires, paint the spokes, shiny up all the chrome, paint the drums, etc. And, of course, they got the drums back on---on the opposite sides of where they belonged! I informed the mechanic of his mistake, but i got the "bums rush", and told to mind my own business! The owner came in, paid for the repairs, took the car, and it wasn't too long intil he was calling, saying his front wheel had come off, and the rest were loose! OH,BOY!!

The non-metalic octagon boxes were not used very much. Other wiring methods have made them not necessary, almost obsolete. 314.2 Round Boxes. Nonmetallic boxes shall be permitted only with open wiring on insulators, concealed knob-and-tube wiring, cabled wiring methods with entirely nonmetallic sheaths, flexible cords, and nonmetallic raceways. Exception No. 1: Where internal bonding means are provided between all entries, nonmetallic boxes shall be permitted to be used with metal raceways or metal-armored cables. Exception No. 2: Where integral bonding means with a provision for attaching an equipment bonding jumper in-side the box are provided between all threaded entries in nonmetallic boxes listed for the purpose, nonmetallic boxes shall be permitted to be used with metal raceways or metalarmored cables. . Back to the subject at hand... You should get a box that is rated for a paddle fan, but the holes probably won't line up either, unless you get a 4" box that has holes a little further apart. (I don't really know what size yours is now) If the holes on the new bracket are far enough apart, (and you have access from above) you could nail 2×4s to the joists on each side of the box, and use #10 screws to screw into the boards at least 1.5". Or use a saddle type box that goes over one 2×4. They are indeed Hedgehogs, Signet. DIL chose the pattern...reason little one was all scrunched up in her ultrasounds every time...so they called her "Hedgie". Each of those squares was 30 individual pieces, so it was a bit of pressure to get it done in the two weeks before her shower. The book quilt was to honor my daughter's graduation with a BSN. She has been an RN for 10 years, and she is currently working full time and in school to become a nurse practitioner. I actually enjoyed designing that bookshelf quilt and kind of hated finishing it.. There is one column of blocks that doesn't show in this photo, and other details like a coffee cup with her name and a book showing collectible shoes since she collected the glass miniatures at one time. this kind of quilt should become a heirloom. I did the clock twice because the first time it didn't look right and spent a day doing the stethoscope block. Fun though...Mantis, DIL likes pink s and purples for the girls thus the colors.
