Anyone here know how to get last of ink out of

color cartridge? I am wanting to complete a printing job. Have completely run out of black ink, haven't changed that yet, due to wanting to use up the color ink before I go back to the printing job, which I would like neat and tidy.

I am positive there is some way I could switch over to using up the color ink for some little print jobs that I also have to do, and doesn't matter what they look like.

I have an HP F4180 series scanner/printer/copier, and wondering if someone could assist me in finding the solution? Thanks so much.

Is it that your printer will not print because your black cartridge is empty?

Urlee, my printer prints fine, I just want to use up the last of the ink in the color cartridge so I can replace them both, color/bl at same time due to a printing job I am working on, don't want the black to be dark and the colors faded, as they are seeming to be lighter, and would like the whole print job to be about the same quality if possible.
Taking the last of the color ink and using it shouldn't be a problem, I can use it for any odds and ends jobs, just would like to know how to get most of it out before I go ahead and replace both IF possible. Is there such a short cut/hint out there from someone?

I made myself one of these bead seaters years ago with a 5 gallon air tank. Watch the clip.....works every time. They show it being used with a small air hose attached to the valve stem, but I've never used a hose with mine. Just charge the tank, aim the nozzle into the gap between the tire bead and rim.....and Presto! You're done. You don't even need to lay the tire down like they show unless it's really being a pain. I've done plenty of them while still on the trailer/lawn tractor/etc. No straps/starting fluid/rope/whatever required. Ever. Tubes are nice and all, but once you've seated a stubborn tire this way and you see how quick and easy it is....you won't bother with a tube in many cases. ;-) Here is a link that might be useful: Bead Seater!

Tell your friend to go to the Laundry Room. You can find it here at the Garden Web under Home Forums. If you think people here get into heated arguments about hostas- you ain't seen nothing yet! Caliloo (Alexa) told me about it once. You can learn about anything laundry as well as whether top loaders are better than front loaders. There was an ongoing argument about the merits of both. Juicyj, Sorry, IÂm still stewing at loosing the plants. Hell, if I strapped them to pigeons and flew them across the St. Lawrence there would have been no issue. Adding insult to injury, the plants were started from seeds sourced in the US??? IÂm still sorry I couldnÂt keep my commitment but lying and getting caught would have made life very uncomfortable. If you do decide to learn to knit, try to learn form someone who learned in Europe rather than from an American. All of the American-trained knitters I know use this incredibly inefficient three-step technique where they push the needle through the loop, fetch the yard and wind it around the needle, then pull the yarn through. Often, they reposition their hands on the needles and yarn more than once with each stich. Yeah - They can get fast at it, but it's still an inefficient process. In Germany, where I learned to knit, each stich is done in a continuous 'push-pull scooping' motion with the yarn held in such a way that it's accessible without repositioning your hands on the needles. Hard to describe, I know, but worth investigating before you learn. The 'proper German' hand-motion is certainly trickier -- but if you learn it right the first time and make the decision to 'invest' the extra time, you'll gain speed in no time and find knitting much more fun!

I am unfamiliar with your ink/printer etc. but why don't you replace both cartridges to get the "pure" color to finish your project.
Then when your black gets low, (If it gets low before the colored) exchange your fuller color one with the faded color one you took out so the black and those match?
Make sense?
