Removing popcorn/acoustic ceiling

Yay!!! I just did it! And it was not that hard. It was time consuming, but not hard. I uncovered a few old water leak stains I had to patch. I hope they come out okay after my patches!!

A few tips for others who may want to try it.

1)Tape up the walls...getting them wet might cause the paint to bubble and it is sooo much easier if you use lots of water. Use plastic and cover/seal the room completely. So much easier to clean up this way.

2)Use a garden/deck sprayer, like the kind you pump air into to get pressure and spray weeds. Saves your hand from the squeezing and allows you to wet ahead of where you are so it is easier to scrape.

3)Use a plastic scraper instead of a metal one if you are having trouble with gouging the ceilings.

Good luck! It makes the room look sooo much bigger and cleaner.
