'twas the night before drywall ... A Christmas rhyme
Comments (15)LOL mtnfever! On the right is actually a piece of framing that had to come down from elsewhere, placed here on my dining room floor for the time being. Behind it is the stack of sheet rock hopefully being installed as we speak. Together it looks a bit like a stage in the middle of my dining room, now that I see it with fresh eyes. I see how it could be confusing! The photo is taken from my entrance, there are two stairs to get up to the main floor. To the left is the stairs and landing that head up to the second floor. The dining room is immediately to the right/front and the kitchen is WAAAYYYY in the back behind the big beam/bulkhead. Hope that perspective helps a bit! Thanks to all for appreciating my late night ode. Breezy, nice to see you have internet again, I know your kitchen is fabulous so seeing your "before" helps me have hope that this process may end one day in a functional and pretty kitchen! CEFreeman I hope you'll get your finished space sooner than later! You clearly have much more patience and tolerance than me....See MoreWork progress on Kitchen remodel before finished in May 2016
Comments (55)Wednesday came and went. Guy was really dragging his feet to get in 6 lower cabinets. Then, he placed scribe molding. I stopped it. I have these beautiful panels and I wish to keep them that way. In an ideal world with an unlimited budget I would have had the board scribed. He tipped me over the edge with a couple comments, including that I was having him take away more cardboard than what was packaged around the cabinets. Beware my contract said nothing about sweep clean up, it did say he would remove the cardboard for $9.00 (prepaid)....See MoreMy little socal Spanish kitchen remodel - before
Comments (69)oldbat2be (I am lol'ing at your user name): Thanks! That isn't actually a grout sample, its a tile. I ended up going with a cream to match the stars. But I think I might do light grey with the white backsplash tile. Haven't yet decided....See MoreBay Area high-rise condo kitchen remodel, before and after
