The movie, "Avatar", is a must in 3D. Its raises the bar for animated movies! It is science fiction and should not give any 10 yr old a problem unless he/she are prone to nightmares, or has trouble separating fiction from reality. The military and corporate greed are cast in bad light, at least the ones in this story. Those turn out to be the baddies. There are scenes of shoot-em-ups and wanton destruction solely for the sake of the mining company. This would warrant the need for parental guidance. A love interest, first beginning as a mutual attraction plus the desire of a young paralized vetern's desire for a life with controllable limbs, does develop, but the portraial is suitable for the younger crowd.

DD helped DGD made one of me on the WII. I'm verrrrry cute! I have on a yellow shirt b/c they said I always wear yellow shirt. I hadn't noticed but I do have a bunch of yellow shirts. They made one of Grandpa too but DGD wouldn't give him grey hair b/c she said it made him look too old. She made him bald on top with brown hair instead. Linda

I loved it. Might be best picture at the Academy Awards. Good story (taken from Westward Expansion and Native American part of our history???), lots of really impressive visuals. The costuming of the Navi was really creative and must have been a wonderful job for the costumers--they could just let their imaginations run free. Apparently there are 3 versions: regular movie, 3D and 3D on the Imax screen. I saw the 3D version. Bigger and louder isn't for me, so I didn't do the Imax.
