I finally got around to making myself a new tag today - followed a tutorial here.....

I like that one Elaine, will have to give it a try. It has been sooooo hot here that the only time I'm out is to let The puppies out or if I have an extremely important errand to run.

In all fairness, Andy's tags are far from cheap. An elaborate system creates them and they contain a wealth of useful information. It's not until many years down the road that they break off and fade. Quite possibly by now he has changed the material they are made off. Unless one has had a plant for 10 years, one is really not in a position to critizese or praise the logevity of the tag. Nick

You guys are the bomb!!! My pretty copper labels got dark enough it was even hard to see the etching (I didn't make it real deep). Last year I thought I had solved the problem with the Sharpie Silver metalic pens (also the bomb for other things) because the ink is hard to get off when we use them at work. Sadly, the darkening of the copper continues and I need just the right angle to read them. I've been afraid to use liquid copper cleaner in case the Sharpie comes off (and I may have reused some of the etched ones, doh!). Now I think I can clean them and the label will also keep at least the copper under the label oxidized free? Harryshoe, that's pretty funny, but age doesn't help anything when the roses are in pots and the dogs think the tags are fun to play with!!!

Eh, it's getting to be way too much trouble to even bother making pizza, now that I've thought about it this much. I think Elery should just make pizza when he's at his place and I'll go to Pizza King for the grandkids. Voted "Best Pizza in Big Rapids" for about 11 or 12 years in a row now, and owned by a neighbor next door to the farm. Mike Mohnke, he also owns/runs the local funeral home. I'm not asking him what makes his pizza so popular, LOL. Annie

Hi Belle, I thought they might be her design. I get that magazine too, so probably saw them in it. Most likely have the corner of the page folded over as one of the things to add to my "too long to ever get done" list! LOL I really like most all of her designs. I did one of her Santas and a nativity last year. I almost never follow the directions--just quickly read through them and then do my own thing! LOL I also substitute similar colors if I don't have the ones listed, or if I want to make the item match my decor or that of a friends. I think that's part of what is so great, we can use the design and add or subtract to make it our own. Luvs

Carol - that's a beauty! I love what you did. It wasn't a hard tut (or I wouldn't be able to do it) - but the results are great. I really like yours!

I wanted to try this one also. I was able to download the filter but not the supplies. It tells me it is not a valid archive...what's my problem..anyone know? Charlene

The first time I tried to download it when I unzipped it it said no files available but when I downloaded the second time they were there. Try it again and see if it works. A few months ago I had to download something 3 times before it worked.
