It's so easy on the eyes. And really nice folks there - although maybe they're just so nice because they're living in paradise. /Eileen. I hear you about the furry babies. All those little planty faces staring up at you, and their moms nearby so you can see exactly what they will look like when they are of an established size. It should make it easier to decide what you want, but really what happened to me was that I suddenly saw the appeal of all the plants I'd previously vetoed when merely viewing them online. Unfortunately Kelly has been busy addressing some health issues. We recently heard she was making some progress and I'm sure she'll be on here again eventually. I miss her too. /Renee. My sister really wanted me to drop her off in Siesta Key while I was visiting Joni but unfortunately for her, she slept in and I wasn't going to wait any longer! :P /Ima. It's a really pretty area, so I think it would make a fun day trip. If your daughter takes you, maybe as a thank you gift, you'll be faced with the same conundrum as I was: what a person's First Hoya should be. I went with polystachya, but Joni's suggestion of merrilli was a really good one, I thought.

I think you'll be glad you ordered from them. I live nearby and have bought several roses (and many, many other plants...especially hydrangeas and clematis) from them over the years. Their roses are good sized, strong, own-root plants. They're either in large bands or gallon pots and always well-rooted (just shy of being pot-bound in some cases) and ready to be planted out in the garden. If you ever have a chance to go, I heartily recommend it. Their gardens are incredible to wander in - full of lovely plants and great ideas. Here are some pictures from a visit I made last year in mid-July. The first picture doesn't quite capture how enormous this white hydrangea was. I'm 6'5", and the plant was quite a bit taller than me. I came across a rose I didn't expect to see blooming at that time of the summer: Pompon Blanc Parfait - wonderful scent! And this unlabeled beauty. Looking at their catalogue, I wondered whether this might be the summer look of Duchesse de Rohan (which I've only seen bloom in the spring). The pink was not so garish in real life...

I don’t own this, but had a double oven range left by the previous owners before we remodeled. I hated the bottom oven (actually hated the whole thing, but those issues don’t apply to the pictured model) because of how LOW to the ground it was. The door opens to a few inches above floor level so with small kids and pets it’s a bigger hazard than a “regular” range/oven that has more clearance from the floor. Hauling out a large roast or turkey was a pain and I was still young, strong and limber so I could not imagine dealing with it as I got older and by extension, less strong and less flexible. And cleaning that thing? Ugh. Same issue - crawling around on the floor and scrubbing is not my idea of a good time even when I’m young and able, so again, thinking about how that would go when I was older wasn’t a fun thought. I strongly suggest you go see these types of ranges in person and simulate taking large/heavy pans out of the bottom oven, how you would clean it, etc. and go from there so you can make an informed decision. If you still like it and think it would be fine for you, then go for it.
