I save all six pages as one file, so I don't upload them individually. It all goes together. I've always called the file "index.htm". I pasted the instructions below that I found. When I follow these directions, I get a box saying "cannot save 'index.htm'. The folder is marked as 'read only'." I checked the publisher file, and it is not marked "read only". The other day, when I first tried uploading after making the changes to the Publisher file, I didn't get that message, but I may have been doing something differently. I've found different instructions and tried all kinds of things. When I click on properties for the network ftp location, it says "This server does not support changing file permissions". When I right-click the files in the ftp location, and look at "properties", it says "does not support changing file permissions". The file in the ftp location that is called "index.htm" shows that it was last updated in June 2009, so I must have done something to a different ftp file the other day when some of the changes to the Publisher index.htm file uploaded. Bestlawn! I could have asked you over on KT! I had two lines; one I managed to delete, but I've fumbled around so much I cannot remember what I did! Yes, I think the enter/return is what seems to trigger it. When I try to select the line, a thin vertical highlight strip appears on the left above, through, and below the line, but it will not delete. I've spent the last 20-30 minutes trying to figure it out, searching "help." But it's no big problem, I can scroll it down to the blank page and not print that page. And now that I know how to draw lines w/o triggering the other line, I'll be ok. I suppose 2007 is ok when one gets used to it, but it sure takes up a lot of time getting to that point. It has a default of 1.5 spacing, which is not that good for me. Thanks...you're the "best!"

If it really is a border, then you would have a table and if you left clicked inside the table, a Design Tab would show in the toolbar, under that you would find a Borders dropdown with Borders and Shading where you can set it to none. If it is some text that has been accidentally highlighted gray, while on the Home Tab, you'll see ab with a blue arrow which is the Highlight Color Tool, right next to the Font Color. You may be talking about the right margin, I don't know if your gray line is horizontal or vertical. If the text is important, copy, click the big button at top left and create a New-Blank Document then paste it and see if it's the same. I'm assuming you're using Word, more info would be helpful.
