Morning, Happy to see this thread is still alive. Yesterday I made tacos...I like avocado on top, so as of last night, two 'cado pits are sitting in the sink. I'm debating whether or not I should 'try' sprouting the pits. I have a question. Why are some pits larger than others? The two in the sink are minis. What's with that? If they sprouted, grew, would they be dwarf avocado plants? Are larger pits and cado's filled with steroids and/or other chemicals? Is that the reason they're so much bigger? I mean a huge difference in size. Wanda, why are the passion vines dried? You said they're old....how old is old? I used to receive a catalog from a seed vendor. 'Don't know if the name can be mentioned.' On the front of the back cover were lists of plants/seeds with itemized care details. According to the company, passion vine 'fresh' seed takes 90+ days to germinate. I can't recall papaya, but someone here might have sowed papaya seeds, and a general time. Good luck, Toni

for those who love ginger, TJ's has a new "Organic" ginger cookie. They're small and ultra crisp, but have a great bite! DH sent me out to stock up in case they discontinue them! My favorites are Milano's mint and dark chocolate, Thin Mints and Mrs. Fields Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers! Odd choice I know, but I love dark chocolate and I really like ginger!

Glad to read I'm not the only oddball out there! Very interesting to read about all of our various quirks. littlebug, I never, ever leave my car windows down because of the remote chance a wasp might get inside. I could just see me driving over a cliff because a stinging insect was buzzing around in the car. I once stripped down to my undies in a parking lot because I felt something crawling up my leg while driving. It turned out to be a bee that had somehow got under my pants leg - still makes me shudder to think about it!

I'm doing well on my (new theme) Winter Survival Basket. I've ordered scone mixes and some other goodies from KA Flour, went to a craft show and found "Herd Nerd" spice mix as well as an all natural product similar to Vicks Vaporub, added a variety pack of medicinal teas including Throat Coat and Echinacea Plus (my two sisters in law aren't tea fans but I figure most people will drink tea if they're feeling icky). I'll add coffee and red wine and some other fancy snack items, and a winter-themed candle. I am also doing a "self care" package for my two BFFs as we have all had our own stresses this year and we keep talking about the importance of taking time for ourselves. Their bags will include face masks (I ordered a big assortment package of face masks from Sephora that I can split up), chamomile teas, good chocolates, silly t-shirts from Gap (one says NAP and the other says Saturday. Sunday. Repeat.), and a manicure gift certificate. I'll probably end up doing some kind of assortment basket for my 83 yo dad, who is impossible to shop for. But he likes red wine, and snacks, and I can usually get him gas gift cards and grocery gift cards that he'll use.
