sarapamela, are the "dove white" "white dove" colors getting mixed in your mind? I know they do mine! What brand are you talking about? I know SW AND BM have one and the other. But, what is "dove white" at BM is not like "white dove", or did I mix that up too? One brand is creamier, one is whiter. I have SW dove white (or is it white dove) on my trim, and it seems a lot whiter to me than BM other. Is that confusing enough? I'm very anxious to hear what color/brand you go with, I'm in the process of choosing as well. But I DID notice that in your first post, you called it BM's white dove, and then in the choice post, you called it dove white. So, is there a difference in choice? Or just words? LOL Crazy paint makers and their names!

We used BM Revere Pewter as well. I tried 6 different gray/blue colors and it was the winner. What I LOVE about it is that it seems to change colors during the day depending on the lighting. I am now going to continue it into my living room. It's a great neutral color and that goes well with so many other colors. Amy, love your kitchen! Our cabinets will be delivered in another few weeks. We are renovating a 1920s era farmhouse. I almost felt guilty choosing painted cabinets but I want this kitchen to be light and airy. Both my husband and I liked an off-white cabinet with a warm brown glaze (bead board doors). Almost exactly what the KD has in her showroom. I also want color in the kitchen so the walls are a pale beiged down olive. Originally had hoped for wood floors but an antique cookstove requires tile and my husband also wanted radiant heating in the floors so the whole room will be tiled. The countertops are a Corian type in a green that is almost gray. Since the kitchen is the ell part of the house, a small sitting area with lots of windows faces south. We needed a chimney large enough for 3 flues so the wall behind the wood cook stove is all brick. To the left is the hallway, to the right is a pocket door. Woodwork is a pale pale yellow, Pittsburg's Pralines and Cream. My dinner ware is beige stoneware with red and green folk art trim. Our son and DIL had hoped we would choose cherry but I think it's too elegant for our farmhouse. BUT, there's a half wall of cabinets between the kitchen and sitting area. These will be topped with some re-milled antique southern yellow heartwood pine with a gorgeous red grain. We probably couldn't have put these with wood stained cabinets. In the KD's showroom the countertop was paired with a green painted hutch style cabinet. I'm a little concerned that the beadboard is going to be hard to clean but with the glaze already in the crevices, they already look "worn". This kitchen is really my husband's idea. We've had the cook stove for a few years and he's looking forward to having me cook on it the way his mother did. It really depends on the feel you want your kitchen to have and what you're comfortable with.

I’m getting use to it. It’s definitely a white our shock for sure. I feel that it’s very chalky and stark . I also don’t like the finish. It looks matte even though it’s satin. Maybe it’s the cheap paint. If I were to do it over I would look at Sherman Williams pure white in emerald cabinet paint. It definitely is a breath of fresh air walking in. I do not regret the flip only hiring the wrong painter. Maybe if I saw the paint chantilly in BM advance it may look different. You have to sample colors in exact paint u are using. Please!
