Sofas: Looking For Your Opinions, Please
Comments (23)Am heading to town this morning to check out the place that sells H&M furniture and, hopefully, a few other brands as well. Robin, thanks for the info on Vanguard. It's good yo know that it held up so well for you. I've put it on my list of brands to try and check out today. Beachlily, wish you already had that new furniture, but I'm glad you chimed in to tell us that you thought enough of H&M to go with them. Please start a new thread and show us pics when everything arrives, will you? I'm already anxious to see it! Last night at dinner I read DH all your comments and opinions. I've printed out everything to refer back to, including the comparison tables that WalnutCreek linked me to (thank you!!). Keep your fingers crossed that we find the best sofa for us and get it ordered this weekend. The old one is self-destructing right before my eyes here! Comments (3)Thanks! This is more of a house flipping situation. And no I'm not sure I can get the house cheap enough but I'm going to try. First I need to do my homework and see how much everything will cost... Any and all help is welcome!...See MoreBertch
Comments (8)Bertch Cabinet does not stand behind their product if you have a known serious problem. Our bathroom double sink vanity immediately started sagging in the middle where the three drawers are located, this caused a large gap under the marble top with it only resting on two ends of the cabinet. The double doors on each end of the cabinet are visibly crooked now and will not shut. I have guests comment on the appearance of the cabinet all the time now, located in our main bath. I have contacted Bertch several times over the years, it was not until recently we really pressured them that they sent a representative out to look at the cabinet and take pictures. The sales rep told us that they have had a problem with that cabinet due to the drawers being too heavy in the middle causing the entire cabinet to sag in the middle and Bertch has since made modifications to prevent the sag by placing a brace in the newly manufactured cabinets, she stated that they would install a brace in mine and if that did not work replace it under their lifetime warranty for defectiveness. When the brace Bertch sent the sales rep would not fit in our cabinet they offered to sell us a new one and stated it is not covered under their warranty, first because you have to be the original owner (we are), then must have the receipt (we do) then because of the date we purchased it (they state the warranty was not lifetime on that date)? Their phone customer service was less then friendly when trying to resolve this problem. I now need to replace the cabinet at our cost, of course, not with a Bertch. I highly recommend that you purchase from a company that stands behind their product especially when they are aware that it is a defective product....See MoreLegacy Cabinets
Comments (12)I bought 7 wall cabinets off a craigslist seller today. I paid $500 for all 7. I'd like to get some base cabinets to go with them. Just curious of a ball park I should expect to pay when shoping prices on them? The picture is of the cabinets the seller currently has. *The pictures show 36" H Cabinets. Mine are 30" cabinets. However, the cabinets are exactly the same except for the height. 13 1/2" w- 30" H -12" d 1 Door (this has a pull out spice drawer that is attached to the door and the one on the right side of the microwave) 13 1/2" w -30" H- 12" d 1 Door (This is the one to the left of the microwave) 30"w - 12"h (2 doors - cabinet above microwave) 36" w 12" h (cabinet above fridge) 39'W - 30" h - 12' d (Cabinet closest to the door) 30" h Corner cabinet with glass door 24" w - 30" h -12" d (Cabinet closest to the window) Not bad for $500...even if I break the bank on the base units.
