Thanks again for the responses. Right now I am having trouble deciding. I will try the mock up tonight and see if that will help. Good idea. I have done drawings on graph paper and when I look at them I think that I slightly favor the look of the two doors bacause of the symetry. Holligator - Your door does not look big but I am worried that mine will actually be close to 22 inches because the cabinet is 24 inches wide. Love your cabinets by the way. Looking at literature I have from kraftmaid, shuller and diamond it seems that fewer companies make one door cabinets larger than 21 inches. Mine will be 24. Does anyone have a 24 inch cabinet with one door that they would be willing to post a picture of? Or a picture of a 24 inch cabinet with two doors? Just a thought. Thanks, Beth

Thank you, Charlikin. I think I responded to a post you had a couple of weeks ago when I thought our cabinets were arriving (I was a fool then...). Anyway we also like the Eureka style cabinets with the carmel glaze. The new distributor has been very helpful, but since I have been burned with the other KD, I am suspecious of everyone. When are your cabinets arriving? What kind of payment plan did they ask you for? The new distributor I am now dealing with has asked for a 20% deposit, then 30% when the cabinets are delivered, and the remaining 50% after the cabinets have been installed. I will make sure to pay with a credit card this time. By the way, if you are planning to get granite, you can order it through them. They gave me a really good deal (I hope I will make a decision soon)...

I can see the appeal of mirror, shine all that light around. But, based on your rendering, readed or seed glass would fit the style better. I woudn't do over the range. I at least wound't really want that to be where my eyes travel when I enter the room. Do put in something you like in the cabinet by the sink. You will see it all the time as you work and it should make you happy.

Our ceilings are 8'4" so we lucked out with cabinet sizes. Before the remodel we had no upper cabinets, just open shelves along the walls. After putting in cabinets to the ceiling I was amazed at how much bigger the room felt (even though the cabinets are medium/dark.) I really like the feeling of vertical space. And I find plenty of rarely-needed items to place on the upper shelves. And like alwaysfixin, I appreciate having a space for tall items without eating into prime easily-reached space. If I had to make a choice, I would go for less of a molding and go for as much cabinet space as possible.
