Florence I wanted to tell you about something that happened to me the other day...A friend of my mom's came over and walked around the garden...She almost started to cry I thought, she told me that her mother(and this lady is about 70 I guess) used to grow roses that smelled just like those Zephy's....and she talked and talked about her mom's roses, it was a nice afternoon I can tell you,,,,She just loves old fashioned roses and went from the few I have and waxed on and on about the fragrance, first about the Zephy's, then the Sombreuil's....She said the Lamarque had a fragrance but not as noticeable as the others.....She liked the MAC too....Now comes the best part, I took her to the front patio/porch we got and only have one rose growing there, a Ducher, a small China rose.....She bent over, smelled that rose and then did cry.....I tell you it was sad, nice and wonderful all at the same time...Anyways it was a nice day for sure......So glad to hear of your first blooms, one of these days I hope to see blooms in abundance like the ones I saw on your Zpehys.....they were remarkable in size, number of blooms and well just amazing........Including the last flush of spring for my Zephy's...winding down now. Sultry, post some pics if you can ! MB is on the roll. Last nite she won 1st place with another new quilt at her monthly guild meeting. This makes two first place wins in a row at the guild and also the BIG win at the American Quilters Society.

Hi D'Ann........ It took me a while to figure it out too, BUT I got it now. Take a look under the quilt itself and there should be an icon that says something like 'VOTE FOR THIS QUILT'. Select that and then fill out the info and you are complete. I still dont know anything about the rules of winning in Florida. It bums me out to even think there would be a reason to not include Florida.

Thanks guys. I'd have to say it was the hardest one yet..I did have a silver mylar 'curtain' at the back of the oven-enabling me to sit down on a stool at least. The problem was..even thru the armholes on the side-I couldn't reach my mouth to even drink water w/a straw! People fed me drinks via the curtain in the back & then I'd slip the straw up thru to my mouth! LOL!
