Anyone decorate with Kaas decoupage plates?

Has anyone used them? I love them and they have so many designs that appeal to me.

Thank you SO much for all your answers everyone! I did go to Michael's yesterday and bought 4 packages of the small stained glass squares. They were $3.99 per package. I will use those for my first project but I want to find a good online source for more. Luna, I will definitely check out the delphiglass site. And I need to see if there's a stained glass store in the area. The 2 pieces on my immediate to do list I'd really like to use stained glass on, or something equally as thin. Even the little tiles you can get at Michael's are the same thickness as a regular tile. I have a whole big tub of thinset from my backsplash and a huge bag of gray grout. I also have caulks in both white and clear, some for interior or exterior use. I have tile nippers as well, would those work okay for the stained glass? I'll try it today. We live in a somewhat rural area and it takes me about 20 minutes to get into the town I visit most frequently. And with gas prices and my gas guzzling Wrangler, I'm trying to cut back on how often I go. Our local Freecycle is small...really small. But the one in Charlotte is much busier. And of course, Charlotte is like an hour from me so unless someone wants to meet me somewhere, it would probably be more cost effective to just find the item locally at a TS or YS. I AM getting an old rusty tricycle tommorrow (I hope) from someone on our smaller local Freecycle! YEAH!!! Can't wait to put it out in the garden loaded down with baskets of flowers! Has anyone else found that gas and food prices are eating into their crafting money? Good grief! My husband makes good money, we have 3 nice cars, a nice house, take nice vacations, gutted and did a complete remodel on our kitchen (and it was a new kitchen just 6 years ago), but these food and gas prices are really starting to hurt! And it's only going to get worse! I don't mind cutting back on the quality of what I eat (although I do mind for my kids) but cut into my craft money and I'm going to whine!;0) Thanks again everyone. Great packages arriving here. I just finished three swaps and all received the hand crafted spoon markers and I have received many inquiries as to how they are made. The following is a site where I found some for you guys to see what I am talking about. I love how they added the little plant stamps so will have to find out how they did that. http://paperandplanes.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/dsc07503.jpg I used new spoons I got on sale but have made some for myself from spoons I found at the Goodwill. My husband used a rubber mallet to flatten the spoon. I then purchased a steel stamping letter/number set. I just line these up on the spoon one letter at a time and bang them with a regular hammer about 25 times to assure they indent the spoon. We used a work table my husband has and placed a large garden border brick on that to bang on. When flattening the spoon, places an old towel over it so as not to scratch it up. http://stampingjewelrysupplies.com/images/letter_numbers/il_430xN.157647088.jpg These are very easy to stamp and I enjoy doing it. Jeanne, very tastefully decorated and looks like you can leave it all out for awhile. One of my hydrangeas is coming back so hopefully I'll be able to dry some one of these years. Your tulips are way ahead of mine. Ours grew alot this past week in between snow storms and sun tho. Jane, red tulips are the only ones the deer don't care for at DD's!LOL She finally quit planting the other colors for this reason. Adorable picture...I also had one of those red hats when I was a little cowgirl. DM use to make all of our fancy western shirts growing up. Most of the time we wore Levis and cowboy boots too. Hope you get better every day. Several have bronchitis and whooping cough around here. I'm blaming our weather for this! One has to wear layers to be comfortable these days. What great ideas! I particularly love the 'handmade paper with water' idea. Talk about nothing to lose -- And we do have two good craft stores nearby, so I think I may just mosey on down there to see what they have in the way of handmade paper, ModPodg, etc. I'm leery of the spray-on stuff because I have such large expanses of glass that any unevenness at all would really show. That Tatouge system is neat too. Wish I'd known about that when I was doing nurseries! The undersea scene shown on the website would have been perfect for my younger son's room. Those Gallery Glass windows are gorgeous Oceana! Are they hard to do? I'm talking about three panes that are each 23" x 66", so that's a lot of space. And given the contents of these closets, I'd need to obscure the entire glass area. Valinsv - That's a great offer and I'd love to take you up on it - Thanks! I discovered these a few months ago and really love them. I haven't bought any as yet but I'd like to arrange a collection of them in my office.

I did buy some vietri painted glass plates this weekend. I intend to hang them in my powder room. I hope I am not sorry.. but they were so enchanting. (I bought the prickly puffer fish, sea urchin and sea horses.. the pictures don't do them justice).

Please share pictures if you come up with a way to use them!

Too funny! No- not a spammer. I have one little area I think I would like to put a few...

I am an equine veterinarian.... they have one that says veterinary medicine with a horse skeleton. Very cool.

I think I could make these. Seriously. A color printer, some glass plates/trays and some decoupage goop. I am inspired. $85 for a plate is nutty, but I like the style of them.

I think they're very cool, but agree with dgmarie - they're priced too high (IMO)! I've never tried decoupaging, but I too am inspired by seeing these!

I just bought a book that shows how to make these plates step-by-step. Very easy and very inexpensive DIY project!

It does look like fun! I liked the Kaas little glass rounds for coasters, but so expensive!

I just found that book at my local library and put a reserve on it. I just love the library.
