Is it lunch time yet?

I brought in all the fixin's for a salmon caesar salad. Been thinking about it for days, but forget to bring the stuff in.

I didn't have time to eat yesterday, but I am going somewhere today, and sit in the a/c and have something wonderful. Enjoy your caesar salad, Ang.

LOL Annie, little man liked that Michigan Sushi idea. I reminded him of his experience from the past year but he didn't seem to worry. When I asked him "What do you do when one of your friends tells you that you have bad breath?" He said, "I will say 'it's too bad that you don't eat fish.'" I am so proud! Jim, I have never tried lox myself so can't say if it will be less smelly or not. Since fish is one of our favorite foods we never have any leftover fish from the night before. Our mornings seem to be very short and we always end up rushing out of the door so canned fish is what we will settle with for now. Tami, little man has never tried mints before. I personally don't like them so I have a feeling that he may not enjoy a mint in his mouth. He loves tic tac. I bought him some tic tac in little colorful containers with the pop-up lid. So I won't have to worry about school people mistaken them as pills. Terri, lucky you. At least he can still take peanut butter to school. It's an absolute no-no to bring any nuts or anything that contain trace amount of nut to school. Little man loves peanut butter banana sandwiches. I don't want him to eat PBB sandwich every day but once in a while would be nice. I definitely will make the rolled fish bread for him tomorrow. In fact, we have already planned for the rest of the week... Thursday will be sardine sushi. Instead of using nori I will use sesame seeds on the outside. Friday will be BBQ seitan strips with raw carrot and cucumber. It's gonna be a good week for him. Al

I used to work for an electronics store. I would eat lunch in my office because our lunch 'room' was a joke. I learned quickly to lock my office door so nobody would bother me, and to ignore all pages for the phone. After all, my lunch break was one hour UNpaid. I couldn't believe it the first time it happened, but one of the managers knocked on my door. I figured if I ignored it, he would go away thinking I wasn't there. Next thing I know, I'm eating my soup and he used his key to come in: WITH A CUSTOMER! Then he insisted I help the guy out. I did it that time, and the customer must have apologized a million times. Then I told the manager that I do not get paid for my lunch break and I expect to be able to take them in the store without being bothered by ANYONE. If I had left the store for lunch, he would have had to take care of the problem. for all the good it did me, it happened so often I lost count. The customers always knew I was not impressed and the managers didn't care. I quit.

Always have a great visit with Linda! We meet 2 or 3 times a year for lunch. Today, was the same. Great lunch, great visit. We tried a new restaurant, closer to her. I had fried oysters and Linda had fried chicken. Everything is cooked to order. Thanks ya'll for your interest.

It is easy here in the norther tier of the US in the winter months to feel sessions of depression etc, but since I have had my vit D level checked and found it was low and taking extra it really makes a difference, but then I like cold weather. I love being outside, working on my hobbies, being with some people especially in my women's Bible group, being with my kids, grandkids and now with the 4 great grandkids, and yes, shopping by myself, even if I don't buy anything. Just watching people. In CA I loved to go outside as we had 5 acres in the mountains and in the sping seeing all the new baby quail, and other animals. So quiet so calming And yes, every morning I try to remember to say Hi to Jesus and ask for help for the day. Hope this finds you in a better mood and more postive spirits. Marie

I made a pot of beef dumpling soup yesterday for lunch with leftover roast. Oh I drooled over it and even put in "extra" dumplings! DH said its good but you put in too many dumplings! He's crazy! No such thing as too many dumplings! There is enough leftover for lunch today!

Well, DH stopped at the meat store and brought home some sausage...He couldn't wait to start cooking and it smelled so good but DARN, he had gotten hot sausage instead of the mild and I can't eat it....Not sure what I'll be eating.....

I'm so mad at myself. I've been thinking about that salad for DAYS. I just went in to make it and realized I forgot to bring in Parmesan cheese. I can not have a Caesar salad without Parmesan cheese! grrrrr

I'm waiting on my Chicken Pot Pie to get done. I didn't eat much Dinner last night and I've only had a Banana today.

I forgot to bring anything to work with me today for lunch and naturally, I was starving just because my mind was reminding me that I didn't have anything. It's so darned hot here today and traffic is so bad, that I just wasn't otivated to go out. So, I looked in the freezer here at work and found a single serving Red Baron deep dish pepperoni pizza that I stuck in the microwave. Not what I wanted but it was better than going out in 95 degree weather. Plus...I still have money in my pocket...lol!!!
