My son is taking his son out for a round of golf, this afternoon. T time is 3:00.

Son,Scott & SO, Sue came over and cooked a delicious meal. Pork tenderloin, pasta salad, lemon pepper green beans and hot rolls. He did the same for Mothers day, and for Hubs and i, this is the perfect gift for us. It is hard for Hubs to go out to a restaurant, and a total treat for me to have someone cook and serve a delicious meal for us.

Same to you, nomen. Enjoy the day! Looks like your plants are in the grill...lol! Or, are you referring to the weather? Maybe not for you, but the southwest will be suffering extreme heat. Definitely will be a cookout. My succulents have been moved into dappled shade with temps over 100 forecasted. Wouldn't want any to "cook!"

I hear ya Marilyn, I miss my dad too, especially his laugh. He passed in 1977. This is us at a bbq on either Mother or Father's day 1968, I don't remember which. I'm the one saluting the photographer.

Have to brag on our DS and DIL. They had family to their home for dinner: Planked salmon (grilled by our DS), corn, coleslaw, apple and blueberry pies and watermelon. They have a 4 month old baby girl and a six year old boy. We did 'hand the baby around' to give Mom and Dad a break, and I played a long and very loose-rules Game of Life with DGS to keep him happy. Warm and humid here so we stayed indoors with the A/C on. Hard to top last Fathers' Day when they announced new baby coming in February!
