I really liked Neil, I could see him winning if he has a repertoire and doesn't just sing that same song every time. I also liked the kid with the flaming batons and the 15 year old girl that belted out her song.
If any of you watched last year you'll know that Terry Fader and his gang of puppets won - they said on the show last night that Terry just signed a 100 million dollar contract in Vegas - way to go, Terry.

I have no idea who else was on the show but she is cute!

There were a couple who really stood out last night. The little 'just turned 4' year old was way, way past adorable. It was amazing to me that she didn't get overwhelmed by being on the stage, the audience, the clapping. She was unbelievable.

Loved the opera singer. And there were a few others who were good. The modern cloggers had a nice fusion of styles. The violin players were very entertaining and creative.

But what were they thinking putting the burlesque gals through? I have nothing against the fact that they did burlesque dancing--it's an art form--but they weren't very good at it, and in parts it didn't really seem to follow the traditional style (guess that's odd for me to say, after I just praised 2 groups for being creative--but it just came across differently with this batch.)

I only watched the first hour and recorded the 2nd to be watched (hopefully) tonight. Kaitlyn was adorable!

We really enjoyed this show last night ... Kaitlin was terrific, and sooooo adorable (as only a young child can be). Her pitch was right on target, and she remembered allthe words to her song. What a cutie!

And I loved the fiddle-playing brothers. They were just so good, it was a lot of fun to watch AND listen.

Then there was the 15-year-old singer, and the flaming-baton-throwing young man, both great!

But my favorite of all was Neil the opera singer. Such an emotional man, and I told hubby to hush up and listen! when his turn came because I thought if he could bring those emotions out in his song, it would be amazing. And he did, and it was. Loved it!

OMG She is darling! And so talented!
I've never watched the program, but sure enjoyed the video.

I agree with all, especially Azzalea's thoughts on the burlesque dancers. They were pretty bad....but I think it was the boob job on the one gal that got them thru! LOL!!

Neal really did bring me to tears, and he nearly did so on my hubby. That guy is great.

I missed it too but did see the guy that did the Tom Jones impersonation.BAD,BAD,BAD!LOL

This is so funny, I've been singing that song all day because of the show last night. I finally get a chance to log in and here is this thread. She was soooo cute, what a charmer. I really loved her parents too. They seemed pretty normal. I loved at the end of her song and critique how she ran to her daddy's arms. You could hear him say he was so proud of her then you could hear her say "thank you daddy". BIG AWWWWWWWWW! The "I'm from America" was great too.

The opera singer brought tears to my eyes. Loved him and the audiences reaction to him. Just great.

There were certainly some wonderful performers lastnight..
My youngest has been wanting to take violin lessons after a special guest came to music class for a week. After watching those two young men lastnight..he REALLY wants to take lessons now!

I too had tears from the little one and the opera guy...Amazing both of them.

Of course I liked Neil (the last guy) the 4 yr old and I really liked the trombone player.

I never watch the show, but my DD was watching it and I happened to walk by when the "almost 4 year old" walked on stage. What a cutie!
