I use neutrogena moisturizer with a 20 spf.

Anything that's advertised as waterproof. I like to swim and I sweat a lot. I buy a new tube every summer. I don't like heavy or greasy or waxy sunblock.

My son's dermatologist recommended Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch. It comes in three different levels of SPF 50, 70 and one higher I think. I bought some for my son's face and it's very nice - light not greasy.

I don't use sunscreen on my face, I just use Doublewear foundation that has a 10 SPF. I think most foundations today have spf.

I'm sure most of you don't need or wear foundation daily, but I have splotchy weird skin... so I do.

Off topic somewhat - but this Estee Lauder Doublewear is a great foundation if you need medium to full coverage. It stays on ALL day through anything! I highly recommend it (and no, I do not work for Estee Lauder. lol)! See linky!

I use Olay moisurizer w/SPF 15 on my face every day. I put it on my chest/neck if I'm going to the pool as the regular sunscreen makes that area break out.

I have rosacea so I use Avene SPF30 Lotion for very sensitive skin. Goes on really nice. I also use it on the rest of my body. Expensive but worth every penny.

Hats alone don't work at least during a long time in the sun. LOL My poor brother wore a hat for protection at the Red Bull Air Race and his face got badly burned. I saw him a few days after and his poor nose was all scabby and blistered. Ouch! I am so glad I decided not to go because my brother has darker skin and tans while I am very red skinned and I would have fried even with sun protection.

Oil of Olay Complete SPF30, for sensitive skin. I have allergy issues ;o)

I use Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer spf15.

Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer SPF 15, but I think I'll try that Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry Touch some others mentioned here. I also use a foundation with SPF, wear a hat and avoid the sun like Dracula.

I use Olay daily the one with an SPF of 15 every day without fail~~~if I am am really going to be in the sun alot I use the Neutrogena dry touch in an SPF of 70 on my neck, chest, and arms all else is covered. I also have a Lancome foundation I wear alot with a 20 SPF

I use an oil-free sunscreen meant just for faces. I think it's by Coppertone.

Susan--did you have to have surgery for that rose thorn? Yikes, what happened!?

Hi Susan - Yes, I had the surgery on Tuesday. And by then I'd gotten pricked with another thorn, this one at the tip of my right index finger. I removed it, but a tiny piece remained behind. So the surgeon removed the first one from the back of my hand and the second one as well.

Strange as it seems, the surgery required an operating room and anesthesia. All for one careless move (okay, two careless moves) in the garden.

I get the stitches out on Friday. Meanwhile, I have to say my hand feels worse than it did pre-surgery. I suppose I need to be patient--at least that's what my daughter says. But as you can imagine the tip of my index finger is . . . um . . . rather sensitive at the moment. Parts of it are also numb. I certainly hope the nerves regenerate.

I wear an Estee Lauder face cream, the Resilience Lift creme with a sunfactor 15. Except when I work in the yard, or ride my bike. Then I add Coppertone 45.

I am out in the sun way to long to wear something with a lower protection.

Just want to add that my doctor recently told me in no uncertain terms that SPF 15 is not enough. And that was before she knew I work out in the garden. She said 30 is minimum.

My problem is finding a good sunblock for VERY sensitive skin. I'm allergic to so many things & had problems with PABA in the past. Also, it's very irritating to the eyes if you accidently rub them or from sweat.

I am thinking of trying out stuff they use for babies hoping that the sensitivity factor is taken into consideration along with the sunblock.

I have very light (Irish skin), that's very sensitive and I live in Florida.

I have tried many sunblocks for sensitive skin. The best that I have found is DML SPF 25 Daily Facial Moisturizer. I use this on my face and neck. For the rest of my body, I can use Bullfrog spray on gel. I buy the DML from www.sunprotections.com. I also bought the Solumbra sun hat from them. A dermatologist recommended these products to my husband after he had some skin cancers removed.

My Dermatologist directed me to use a moisturizer with SPF 30 starting on April 1st and until October 1st. We have high humidity on the Cape during the spring, summer and early fall. All those little drops of water in the air serve as little mirrors, reflecting all the sun. Hats are necessary when working outside but, hats alone are not enough.

I have used Oil of Olay with SPF 15 for years so I tried their Moisturiser that has SPF 30. Within 2 days my face was itchy and broken out. I tried Aveeno with SPF 30 and have not had a problem. It's the one with soy. I like it.

Susan...hope the surgery fixes both injuries. What an awful thing you had happen. Such simple injuries turned into big problems. I'm sure you will wear gloves when you deal with the roses now. I've even seen some really long ones, reaching up the arm. I often don't wear gloves in the roses, and even when I do, they are little thin things. I'll definitely be more careful now.
