I saw this on FB and just started to laugh. I have been known to use a drill or Dremmel tool in the kitchen - but I wonder about the learning curve for apples. I might have to try this - but normally I don't peel mine... There is a 5 second add to nuke but the apple video is awesome. I'm still getting the neighbor's P. incarnata Incense runners popping up on my side of the fence -- one right beneath my thryallis, so I may need to pull that one before it overtakes the thryallis. I'm laughing at myself with all those P. Incense stems I have rooting right now, as it's becoming apparent I'll have plenty (too many?!) from the neighbor's invasion in the backyard bed alone. I spy a ton of small nibble holes in the P. incarnata leaves, so the gulf frits are alive and well -- winter diners, indeed!

Years ago on a flight to England, between one movie and the next they had a short segment of news, and a couple of comedy shorts. In one of the comedy shorts, John Cleese enters a Pet Shop holding a birdcage, and walks up to the counter where Michael Palin (the shop's proprietor) is standing. I immediately recognize it as the start of the venerable "Parrot Sketch" that I had seen countless times before. I debate with myself whether to use the time to get in line for the restroom, since I could likely recite verbatim the entirety of the sketch. While I was thinking this the sketch started as usual with John Cleese saying "I would like to return this parrot that I purchased not one half hour ago from this very shop." Michael Palin responded "Why? What seem to be the problem?" John Cleese answers: "The problem is the parrot you sold me is dead." Michael Palin looks into the cage and responds: "Oh, you're right it is dead. I'll get your money." <scene ends> I burst out laughing. The entirely normal transaction was such an unexpected flip of the usual lengthy, argumentative script, I couldn't help it. Those around me looked at me like I was daft.
