I hadn't been out in a while and was surprised when I checked on line for the best prices around. What a nice surprise.

I paid 3.09 yesterday in Edmond Oklahoma. It was the cheapest I saw the rest of the way home.

But, it also had 10% ethanol. I used to buy 100% gasoline, but found out, my car runs fine with the ethanol.

These responses are some of the funniest ive ever seen all the Karens are all ”why pollute the soil” or calling this dude lazy for using a widely technique for killing weeds, i can almost garuntee none of you bashing this dude even has a garden or does any sort of manual labor. pouring or better yet ”misting gasoline” onto plants does not ”contaminate” your soil, it would evaporate way before touching the ground further more, how do you think gasoline is made? and where does it come from? look at the ingrediants in weed killer, and then the ingrediants in gasoline, props for taking care of your weeds the way millions of farmers, growers, and landscapers take care of ours. Dont listen to the tree hugging city slickers that favor being your key board warriors

Mine might be higher than average. I'm 5'7" so I have a decent reach. I absolutely would not allow the microwave to be placed over the stove. We have it over the counter and it's just right. If you are worried about heighth, you might consider a cabinet right on the counter. Our kitchen designer put one on the end of a line of cabinets. The bottom is a shallow drawer which I have rolled up placemats in. Since it doesn't need to be opened very often, there's just enough counter space to place bowls, plates, etc that I'm taking out of the cabinet. I really like having the plates and serving dishes within easy reach. The cabinet is right beside the doorway to the dining room. Glasses and coffee cups are next to the frig on the other end but in upper cabinets. Due to 9' ceilings, our upper shelves require a step stool so seldom used items are up there.

Hi - don't know if the question is still open or not, but here's my .02: We are in an area that sounds similar to yours. It's basically a commuter suburb with most everyone working in NYC. Extremely competitive, particularly with regard to schools. My older son is in a Montessori preschool that we had to apply to well over a year in advance. The private school he'll be starting in 2004 (he's spending his K year in Montessori), we needed to apply to in Jan. of this year. Because the Montessori doesn't start until the kids are 3 (they must be 3 by Dec. 31), I had my older son go to a 2's program at a local temple. It was 3 days a week, 3 hours a day. My younger son will start that same 2s program this fall, but I was definitely vascillating and will probably only send him 2 days instead of 3. It's a nice program, but like most 2's programs, is basically enriched day care. We could have done without it, but there were a few reasons that I liked it. He DID learn quite a bit, especially religious stuff, which is where I tend to be a bit lax. He got used to being around, and listening to adults other than me, it reinforced many things taught at home but not often practiced like sharing, turns, being kind to others, proper manners, etc. And most importantly - it gave me a 3 hour break three days a week. Besides my work, I was able to read, shop, visit with friends and work out entirely unencumbered by my kid. I found that after a few hours without him, not only did I miss him, but I really wanted to spend time talking to him about his day and what he learned. I think the time off made me a better mommy. Sorry not to have included the provisos about the braking. I found that in my earlier car, I could get two or three brake pushes before tha residual pressure left and I had to push hard to get the same effect. Same regret for the steering, but that takes more strength iommediately. Which doesn't bother me, as I was driving small cars and I'm stronger than quite a few folks. My car has an intermediate "Off" position that leaves the radio operating, steering unlocked etc. (don't know about the horn: I seldom drive in a manner that requires it, but I'll have to try it, next time). (I had a risque comment ... but forebore). I should also have mentioned the illegal part - best to check as to that aspect of it, in your jurisdiction. But if I got such a ticket, they'd see me in court. I'm a bit careful where I do it - I want there to be good visibility. And, if something develops, I can have that engine running in one second. My main concern is braking capability, and, as I said, I have 2 - 3 usages before I lose the boost ... in which situation, I usually start the engine, or if there are obstructions nearby from the other side of which a kid might run out, with seeing him/her being impossible for me until the last second. It seems to me to be a worthwhile proposition in rural areas, where there are not a lot of roads or traffic, though sometimes crops growing close to roadways reduce visibility somewhat. Thanks for your additions, folks. We should have been paying more for gas - they've been paying $5.00/gal. or so in Europe for a long time ... and they're the ones who, seeking alternative low-cost energy sources, have developed wind- and solar-powered equipment that is more advanced than we have. I remember two agencies that sold wind-powered generators years ago on the Prairies before the power became available in a number of rural areas - Wincharger and Jacobs. I think that I heard that they went out of business, years ago. No market. And we hear today that our province is talking of building several new nuclear-powered electrical generating facilities. Topped off my tank at $3.24 this morning. Had a half of a tank but with the holidays coming it will surely go up. A tank lasts me a couple weeks or more. YAHOO!!!!!!!

Our gas dropped 4 cents per litre, but it still works out to be equivalent to $4.29 for your gallon. Yikes!

$3.75.9 is the lowest in our community (coastal washington). Approx 10 stations were still holding at that price yesterday. 100 miles south and inland near my mothers, price had dropped to $3.43.9 at the Fred Meyer pumps, we're a little slow in catching up to the savings.

We are paying $3.39 per gal for 87 octane gasoline in SE Wisconsin.

Today, sweet crude shot up several bucks a barrel, so expect a temporary halt in the downward slide of gasoline prices. However, pundits are predicting $3/gal gasoline by the end of summer.

There is another factor to consider for the price of oil. It is affected by the exchange rate amoung currencies. Right now, the dollar is gaining against the Euro and other currencies and this will automatically depress dollars per barrel of oil. When the dollar looses against other currencies, the price of oil goes up accordingly. These changes are about exchange rates and must be removed from the price of oil to discover the true movement in the cost of oil.

The lowest is $306.9 at several stations in north Texas. I love the gas buddy app, it shows me the cheapest gas. Discover card is also offering 5% back on gas purchases but you have to sign up for it.

It is between $3.67 at Von's to $3.75 at Chevron, which is right across the street from Von's.
There is another Chevron just across the freeway and it is usually 3-5 cents higher.
We got 20 cents off per gallon at Von's yesterday and we were thrilled!

Just dropped at the gas station just down the road from me to $3.39.9 drove about an hour and 20 minutes away, to Chambersburg, PA and it was 3.07!

Haven't seen it under $3 anywhere near me yet.

Premium is $3.38 (my car runs only on Premium).

Regular (87 octane) is $3.08.

I paid $3.53 a gallon yesterday. I never "fill up" anymore. I always use cash and buy $10 or $20 worth of gas at a time. I have a Honda Civic Hybrid so I only buy gas every couple of weeks. I used to drive 40 miles back and forth to work. Since retiring and buying the hybrid I'm doing much better.I do try to schedule any driving errands together. I'll go out to grocery shop, post office and library all on one trip.

I am coming back from DD's in East Texas and bought it for

$2.92. When we left our house in the Texas panhandle last Thursday it was $3.59 and probably still is. I think we have the highest price in the state!

Saw the price at Shell today was $3.09. If you shop Winn-Dixie you get a discount if you buy certain items. The teller at the bank told me she filled up yesterday and with the Winn-Dixie card paid $2.67. That's a hunk of a savings!
