Hello Elly, They had updates in the newspaper for a couple of weeks but I haven't seen any thing lately. For the first week or so George was sitting on the nest and they thought there might be some babies in the next, but George eventually abandoned the nest. Last I heard Martha was doing pretty well and they were hoping to be able to release her. The person in charge of mitigating the impact on wildlife for the Woodrow Wilson Bridge project attends the local raptors meeting I go to, so I expect to get an update at the end of June when we have the next meeting. Oh gosh, Cooperbailey, isn't watching nesting birds addicting! I have been watching a pair of osprey, located in Loch Garten in Scotland, for about 5 years now. The same female has been nesting there for a long time, but her long-time mate didn't return a couple of years ago and she now has a new male for the past couple of seasons. I have to say, it is exciting to watch (sometimes even stressful depending on what is going on at any given moment), and sometimes witnessing nature take it's course can be heartbreaking. When a chick that you watched from egg to fluffball to feathered youngster doesn't make it, it isn't easy to take. But when they do make it, you can only feel a sense of pride to watch them grow up, literally right before your eyes! ttodd, Spectacular close-up shots....simply amazing! amysrq, Isn't it wonderful? As many times as I've watched it, I never get tired of it. Nature's wonders. goldgirl, There have been a few times I've sat down to watch my Hummer visitors, only to notice a couple hours later how quickly time had gone by and I hadn't accomplished a darn thing. Watching those little jewels becomes addictive....be careful! :) Mine have gotten so used to me being outside working the gardens, they don't even flinch when I walk by. In fact, a few actually follow me around and some actually look right at the camera when I'm ready to take the shot. Addictive, I tell ya. In a goooood way. :) For all the Hummer Juicy I make, I need to take out stock in C & H Pure Cane Sugar. Coming in for a Landing. I'm changing the plants in an old iron bird cage and my visitor sits on the bird cage door, watching what I'm doing. This guy just kept fluttering in front of me, checking out the thing in my hand....my camera. Lunch Bell for the Newbies. I added color to the Juicy so they would see it. After they learn where it's at, I no longer add the color. I'm stringing some Morning Glory in through Chix Wire of a homemade topiary. This little Jewel stuck by me all day so I called him "My Groupie".

Thanks so much for posting this. I've been checking it every once in awhile. The adult just flew off and I saw one little "doddly" head pop up! LOL That is a fascinating webcam.
