Do any of you live in the Everett Wa area

I was wondering if any of you live in the Marysville or Everett WA area and read about the 3 young men who were in a hit and run accident? My great grandson who was 18 was the one who was killed in Marysville last week. I had never met him only talked on the phone twice. You could hear laughter and happiness in his voice. He was a much loved young man, they are renting a hall for his funeral to accommodate his friends. The funeral has been delayed because of police investigation. He and his 2 friends were hit from behind by a drunken driver, they didn't have a chance. His two friends are fighting for their lives at this time. Very, very sad. A simple thing of walking facing traffic might have saved their lives. Sorry if this makes you sad, but it's all I can think of, such a waste committed by someone who can't control their drinking.

The description of the address in my family history book says they resided at 48 Harrow Road, in Poplar, Middlesex London England. It says it is "located right by the depot" Then I have another address for them, it is Borough of the Tower Hamlets, Parish of All Saints Poplar, 23 Brunswick Street, London, London England. I knew there was a very slim chance of the buildings or houses still being there. I was just hoping. .it would be really neat to see them. . I really do appreciate your replies. . You could try some of the hardier palms such as those from the Phoenix species (Date palms), Trachycarpus (Very cold tolerant), Washingtonia (Cotton palms), Syagrus romanzoffianum (Queen palm or Cocos as it is known, is a weed in Queensland), Livistona chinensis, Livistona australis, Livistona decipiens, Sabal species. In shaded or sheltered spots Archontophoenix cunninghamiana (Piccabeen or Bangalow palm), Howea forsteriana (Kentia Palm), Rhopalostylis sapida (New Zealand Nikau Palm). These are all palms that are generally quite cold tolerant for areas in southern Australia. I don't know how cold it gets where you are but most of these palms should succeed if you can get hold of them. Andrew.

Thanks you Sena and benjesbride. I came up with this before I saw what you posted so I will look more closely at your details. I really like the idea of the dining area where I have it if I can make it work. It just feels more natural with those windows. Also, in my plan I have cut down the pantry to just the back wall of shelves. Will maybe need to use a sliding door there. Barn door? So trendy! :) I would love a wall there so I can also have coat hooks on the other side and as a bit of a barrier when you enter the house. Also, the weird cabinets behind the arm chairs are there because I couldn't figure out how to put a wall there - which is existing and must stay. There is no overhang on my island drawing but irl there will be - probably 12 inches. I know - less than recommended but it's what we have now and it works. So - does this layout work? Is it too tight? The furniture is also the dimension of what we currently have. I don't love the layout of the upper cabinets - but not sure how to arrange them. Thanks for looking and reading!

Oh My Goodness....What a tragedy you are dealing with today. My heart always hurts when this kind of kind o needless tragedy happens. So very sorry for you loss.

Emma, I'm so sorry, how hard it must be to just not be angry at the senseless act.

My nephew is raising his family in Marysville and has a 16 yr old son. When I heard the news brief, I rushed to see ages, names only to be relieved. Now I'm grieving for you and your family. Again, I'm so sorry.

Yes I saw that, did you watch the video. It was like something from TV. You don't think of anything like that happening to your family.

Thank you again for your kind thoughts. I have talked to Shane's father, he appreciated that I had called his mother. I was the only one from my side of the family that has contacted with them and I had to join facebook to find them. I had Shane's phone number but the police had his cell for awhile.
