C'mon..let's welcome Yvonne!!

So glad to see my NY state cousin (post name is yvonnekate) has posted a reply on the KT..I urged her to join us and she's just going to have the best time & make oodles of friends!

She's the sweetest gal, loves home dec, smart & so pretty..shes only got 1 problem. She has this big wedding dress monopolizing her closet & wants to make something out of it..heck-I can't give her ideas. I've had such a slew of 'em over 46 years that I should've opened my own bridal shop!! TEE HEE

WELCOME Vonnie..I've dusted off the chair next to me..sit down & let the fun begin!! Bring sweets-these folks are sugarholics!!

I've got the coffee. Welcome Yvonne. About that wedding dress. They can make very pretty Christening dresses. Or ring pillows for another (daughter/son/gr.child) wedding.
I hope you stay around and join in on the fun.

Yvonne originally saved seeds from super-huge plants grown in her Massachusetts garden; when she could no longer maintain her garden, she gave the seeds to a friend, who has passed them along to scads of gardeners - across the world. They have the capability to get really huge in anyone's garden; I grew them in a (too small) pot and they got to be almost 4 ft. tall. I've got a few seedlings going this year. from what i understand yvonnes salvia is a salvia that a woman named yvonne grew the salvia to be very large. she traded the salvia to another lady and that lady named them yvonne?? whne the lady had gotten older and couldn't trade anymore. something like that. but i don't remember the exact "brand" if she even named it. so it may be the same brand for that matter.it would be nice to have cuzins to the yvonnes salvia. i am getting seeds from the lady who traded with yvonne in the first place, she keeps all the letters that people send her. so the kids and i are going to write her. we have a soft spot for the elderly. i had forgotten that i got yvonnes from karen last year. LOL ummmm.... i call it beauty forget. LOL forget the beauty"s that you got!! Hee Hee. LOL ~Medo

What a nice bunch of gals. I am sure that I will be spending plenty of time hanging out around the table with you. I also just love my sweets.
