Did anyone purchase all Jenn-Air appliances?
Comments (4)Yes, sewwhatsnew, the water dispenser is internal on the left side as you face the fridge. The water tastes great...however, our city tap water also tastes fine. It's just nice to have really cold water so accessible without a large filtered pitcher or an extra filtered faucet at your sink. It also makes filling reusuable water bottles easy! I also have the JA slide in gas range and I am very pleased with its performance. I had one issue with some paint flaking on the airflow grate in the rear but it was taken care of immediately by JA and my dealer. I have not had any other problems. Good luck with your choices!...See MoreJenn-Air Floating Appliances
Comments (3)No brand is immune from failures unfortunately. Even the so-called high end brands. Appliance manufacturers just don't see any point in reliability. I'm doing a kitchen upgrade. The oven, microwave, fridge are just over 7 years old and all happen to be Whirlpool. With the exception of the fridge which had a bad start capacitor which I replaced, they have been relible. They are simple, few bells and certainly no whistles. I feel like I want to upgrade them with convection ovens but part of me is convinced I'll spend good money on appliances that will be less reliable than what I have. More research to do... sigh......See MoreAnyone know any thing about Jenn-Air appliances.
Comments (9)I hate my Jenn-Air French-door floating-glass refrigerator The French door design of this refrigerator is seriously flawed. If you open the right door first, which most people will do, then open the left door, a normal next step, and close the right door, the left door will smash against the glass of the right door when you try to close it. The problem lies in the fact that the hinge attached to the left door does not retract far enough to clear the right door. This is my third French-door refrigerator (other brands) and I have never had this problem before. Here is what Jennair has to say in their user guide: “ There are two refrigerator compartment doors. The doors can be opened and closed either separately or together. There is a vertically-hinged seal on the left refrigerator door. ■ When the left side door is opened, the hinged seal automatically folds inward so that it is out of the way.” I bought this fridge over a year ago and have had at least three different repairmen come more than six times to try and repair it. They have changed the hinge twice, to no avail. They have installed shims to level the back of the fridge, no improvement. I called again today and they are sending a new technician to view the situation. I am not holding out much hope....See Morege vs jenn air appliances
Comments (24)@Susan: We just ordered glass shelves for the 14 1/2‘ long bar which will be installed in the next couple of weeks; notice we did not create space for bar stools since it’s in the family room section and also since we have a traditional bar in the media room (aka man cave to be completed) on the second floor, the other end of the home. The pantry is on the other side of bar wall. The first two pics are day and night pics and last one is a rendering when complete....See More- 11 years agolast modified: 9 years ago
