My cat Lucky was sleeping(with one eye open) while I fed the little ones. After I put this one down, he made his way over check him out and fell fast alseep.

More hugs from me, I lost my two old girls within a year of each other so I know how you feel. I know we did the right thing for them but I still miss them. Eventually the day will come when I'll head back to the SPCA for one, maybe two more girls :o). We still have Basil but he has decided he's DH's buddy, mind you that doesn't stop him from ordering me around. We are still trying to make an inside kitty out of Basil, he's spending more and more time inside but when or if I get the girls they will definitely be inside kitties with supervised outdoor privileges. I have the same plant. It is in a big pot in the garden outside, where it gets water from the sprinkling system every 5 days or so in summer. It has grown and burgeoned in a very satisfying manner, and I never have to worry about it. But your plant has had a hard beginning. (I share your urge to take things like that home and nurse them along!) I would also do what Norma said, and I would probably take off one of those good stems with leaves and try to root it in a separate tiny pot, just as insurance, you know.

Thanks to you all, our boys do rule the roost! What Nita isn't telling you is that we have a colony on the patio as well. A few years ago a stray showed up, a gray tabby who has had a hard life. Someone was very mean to her, she fears hands, hoses and anything attached to a stick. We've been working on her and can only hope that we can capture her to have her spayed, so far she has avoided the live trap. She has had 3 litters, 3 of the now adults live on the porch (we had 2 neutered)one of which sometimes comes in, Baby Girl in the photo was born in April, and now 3 that were born in June (yep, she carried two litters). Baby is at the vet, we pick her up this afternoon, she was spayed. The boys are Maine Coons, Bob and Moose are 5 years old, biological brothers from Maine Coon Cattery outside Cleveland, Dude is 7 and hails from McKittycreek in Erie, PA. He was a great match for us because Sue also has exotic birds, but was an only child so he feels he is above all the other cats. I love Maine Coon cats...or any cat!! LOL!!!

soo cute!

my poor jack got out on the deck yesterday...of course he managed to fall off and then wandered under it...sat and tappped and called him till he found his way out...poor baby he actually enjoyed the adventure, but today will put his blankie down on the porch where he can't get out, but can enjoy some fresh air...

Oh my! I think Lucky found a new friend...Maybe the little furball thinks Lucky is his momma...I'd never be able to give them up, that's why we now have 3 inside cats.....What's 1 or 2 more, makes for a lot of love.....

Good news update!
1. They both pooped today
2. They have both eaten soft kitten food, mixed with formula.
3. I have a vet appt tomorrow for well-kitten check-up
4. I think we have a new Mom! She is on vacation till Sunday but I think they want them both.
