Heh. You have come to the right place, but my finger callouses may wear off if I have to repeat everything written here that answers your questions. (Yours probably won't fall off doing all the necessary searching, but to get you started, here are some salient rules that I suggest will be appropriate.) Hood functions include capture and containment. Capture is enveloping the rising and expanding cooking effluent plumes so that they don't spread out into the room Containment is transporting the partially filtered effluent to (usually) the outside. One might surmise that capture implies a hood larger than the cooking surface, and for wall hoods not over 36 inches above the cooktop this requirement can be met by a hood at least 3 inches wider than the cooktop each side, and extending at least 3 inches forward of the cooktop (depending on where the elements/burners/hobs are actually located). Some forward size might be avoided if hot oil cooking occurs on back burners or the hood has side skirts or cabinets helping the flow field move forward a bit. For residential hoods, I recommend an actual 90 CFM per square foot of hood entry (capture) area. This will require in CFM units a blower achieving the hood entry area (sq. ft.) times 90 ft/min air flow. The rated (zero static pressure) blower flow rate should be about 1.5 times this CFM. Ducting should be sized to keep full-power actual flow velocity between 1000 and 2000 ft/min. No air leaves the kitchen that isn't replaced. This replacement is called make-up air (MUA). Code requires it, and avoiding various undesirable effects demands it. MUA can be passively (no blower) or actively (with blower) supplied, depending on what pressure loss is safe for any combustion appliances (e.g., dryer, hot water heater) you have connected directly or indirectly to kitchen air instead of having their own MUA, or not having any (e.g., electric hot water heater). Active MUA will be needed with sensitive combustion appliances, and also the fireplace if you intend to cook vigorously when operating it. Else, passive may do. It’s been a few years for me too, but I ditto the Churchill War Rooms, Portobello Rd (Saturdays are fun b/c the street is closed except to vendors), definitely pick 2–3 London Walks that strike your fancy. I loved the WW-2 tour and the spy tour. Several of us took the haunted pub tour one night. As for museums, i always took a stroll for an hour or so thru the National Gallery at Trafalgar and their restaurant used to have a wonderful high tea that was relatively inexpensive. Other galleries i enjoyed were the National Portrait gallery, The Cortauld and the Wallace. Yes, to Greenwich if you've never been. It’s fun to take the river cruise up but definitely take the train back. And Windsor is a favorite. If you are a single, it’s almost always easy to walk up and get a decent ticket to a play, especially a matinee. There used to be guided bus tours out of the city that were good. They pick you up around 8 am at your hotel and drop you off at or within a block or two of your hotel at the end of the day. I think the ones my GF and I used was Evan Evans (per locals recommendation) but i have no idea if they are still in business or still good.

There are no good answers to this ask. The healthiest tend to have little to no scent. Some of them are prone to winter stem diseases or winter shock. Some are too dark to consider lavender, or they change colors too often. The best consolation I have found is Enchanted Evening. It checks all of the boxes, but is not a perfect choice. I think Blueberry Hill, like Love Song, has immense color impact and very dynamic blooms. But not a lot of fragrance. Most of the current Kordes lavender roses are completely scentless. This is a bothersome trend for an entire color class known for fragrance to be widely accepted as scentless. I like Blue for You, but its closer to the moody mauve types, and can change color tone readily. The real Shocking Blue is quite nice, but most sold as Shocking Blue are actually Deep Purple or other similar roses. Half of the photos on HMF of Shocking Blue are likely deep Purple. A new one from Weeks sold by JP online, 'La Di Da', is both lavender and fragrant. No clue how healthy it will be.
