Buying something just because it's 'a really good deal'?

There are times that I see something and don't really need it or it's not exactly what I want but will purchase it based on the fact that it's a really good deal. My DH thinks I'm nuts-and that I should spend more money to get exactly what I want, instead of trying to make something work that's a better deal. Any one else do this?

For example JC penny Outlet Store has some catalog return items I'm considering but aren't exactly what I want or need right now.

A 200.00 comforter set for 39.00-not sure on the colors, but has great quality.

A Dutailier Lock + Recline Gilder that's normally 500.00 for 69.00- it would be just an extra chair.

A 300.00 iron and wood queen head/foot bd for 59.00-I need a headboard for our guest bedroom, but only need something simple.
