How sweet! DH had his 75th birthday on Friday, a bunch of us went to the 50's Diner for lunch, our older son came up from Kentucky and walked into the diner just as we were ordering, perfect timing! That's DH and I on the right, the boys aren't in the picture.

The Rose-breasted Grosbeaks passed through on their way north and spent a few days......we didn't have quite as many this year as last and they were pretty skittish.....not a lot of great pix.....beautiful variety today everyone....thanks for letting me post a pic (or three)...... ~Kathy~

Ron, that is precious--both pics! Nicole, are those your very own lupines? Lovely! Jodi, did you risk getting hit on the head with a coconut? :-) Kat, love your money (plant)! LOL Casey, that's a stunning shot.

I don't know for sure, Carol, because the picture was taken before I was born. But when I was growing up we spent our summers on Noyack Bay, so I'm thinking this is probably in the vicinity......or maybe the Shinnecock or Peconic areas. I haven't been back in decades, but I'll always have wonderful memories. As a child, and even a teenager, so many fascinating discoveries to be made at the shoreline!
