Scanning Code of Practice in Stores

Some of our stores here abide by the Scanning code of practice, whereby if a price of an item rung in the cash register is more than the posted price on the shelf, you either get the item free (if $10 or under) or $10 off the item if more than that. The signs are clearly placed on the doors when you enter the store, or at the till.

I recently got a huge cabbage for free, and a jug of laundry detergent (before I started making my own! LOL) These were both at a discount grocer.

But WalMart seemingly doesn't abide by their posted signs. I should have gotten a package of hair colour for free (in my estimation) but the clerk wouldn't allow it.

I'm going to be much more forceful in my behaviour from now on. If you aren't going to do it, don't post that you will!
