Jim-1......the only pieces I've ever sold, that I sewed, were in high school. I made down vests using my moms 30 yr old down pillows and sold them out of the Thrifty Nickel to earn extra money. :0)

In the first year of my marriage, my Dh, in his excitement to learn that I could do upholstery, did bring me home an arm load of motorcycle seats.....from everyone he rode with....after I covered his seat.....I loudly advised him NOT to do that again. :0)

Party, I love your calico, so here is a picture of mine. Her name was Speckles. She had belonged to a neighbor across the street, but decided she liked my place better. LOL

And Gazania, that is a wonderful nest your robin made!! I had one last year in a calibrachoa hanging basket. She raised 3 youngsters and I had the privilege to see their first flights!!

I'm back. I was gone for several days to a family reunion/camping trip in Ohio, followed by a memorial service for my father, on Father's Day.

mare_wbpa....Thank you! I've been sewing clothes since 7th grade. I attempt a project out of necessity and get the chairs or swing FREE off CL. :0) (that way I don't have a lot invested if I redecorate or change my mind).

The truck seat covers......just like the rest. I used the truck seat seams to make a pattern out of newspaper. They fit exact, because they're a perfect match to the upholstery.

I made 2 slip covers(they unzip) for wingback chairs because they didn't go with anything color wise. :0) Now they coordinate with the oriental rug in the bedroom.

I needed an accent chair for the livingroom. I owned all white leather @ the time(I have $5 invested in this chair):

The slipcovers and black and white chair are terrific. I'd love to be able to do what you seem to do so effortlessly. I'm an admirer.
