snookums-We spoke to the owner today. Of course he said that some chipping was normal, and that I could look a his decking, he has it too. Almost every single place that they made saw cuts in the cantilever edge has large quarter sized chips on both sides of the cut. He is trying to tell me that is normal? I am taking pictures, and documenting everything. It looks really bad. Like I said, it looks as if it is an old pool in great need of repair. We don't even have plaster yet. I don't know how they are going to fix it. They made it very clear that they could never match the color if I wanted to add decking at a later date, so how will they match it to repair all of these? I would NEVER have done the cantilever concrete coping had I known that this was even remotely a possibiity.

I just measured mine: 4-drawer stack: 3-1/4", 4-1/2", 4-1/2", 6" 3-drawer stack: 3-1/4", 8-1/8", 8-1/8" This is the depth from the inside floor of the drawer to the top of the opening where the drawer pulls in & out of...i.e., the usable depth. Note: Under my cooktop, the drawers are the same as the 3-drawer stack above, but b/c of the cooktop depth I can only use 2-3/4" of the depth of the top drawer...and in the far back where the cord sticks out, it's only 1-3/4" (but it's only about a 2" x 2" space that's so limited.) My ladles, btw, do not fit in the top drawer! But, my 8qt stockpot w/lid does fit in the bottom drawers. [I have full overlay (face framed) cabinets. Omega Dynasty.]

Thank you so much for these ideas and the technical terms ! I wasn't even sure what to google other than 'hinge' which returns a bazillion results, lol. Yes, inboard of the pivot point is the problem I was trying to explain. If I have to overlay the excess not centered to the opening, I will. But that takes my mirror further to the left than I wanted to be (hinge will be on the right). Ideally, the excess would be to the right, on the same side as the hinge, with just a little overlay on the left. When I googled 'overlay partial wrap hinge', I also found these hinges. I think the plate would have to be mounted on the face of the sheetrock, with longer screws that would go thru the sheetrock and screw into the studs, but would these work ??? Vice versa, could the face plate be mounted on the mirror, and the hinge cup be drilled into the sheetrock ? Would the hinge still open correctly ? The reason I ask, is because I am not sure what material the frame of the mirror is made from and also if it is deep enough to allow me to drill the cup. Lateral hinges I think would not work, for the same reason as the drawer glides mounted sideways - I don't *think* there would be enough room. We're down at the beach house right now (our last guest broke the side rail on one of the bunk beds and we're here fixing it, no idea what they were doing to break the rail lengthwise all the way from end to end!! kids jumping on the bed I would guess), but I can measure for that idea when we get home tomorrow.

A 24 or 27" sngle bowl sink is more than roomy for all your cast iron cookware. The interior width is less than the stated sink size. And that means you can often use a 24" sink base cabinet for a 24" single bowl stainless sink. This gives you more usable counter work space around the sink. It also gives you more available width for wider 3 drawer base cabinets on the run that includes the sink. 36" sink bases were needed when double bowl sinks were used before dishwashers made them less necessary. Those doubles were really two undersized bowls. Much less usable than a 24" single bowl.
