The two that are with my son and his wife are her nieces, ages 8 and 11. Their father was always in trouble with the law, and when in pursuit by the US Marshalls, he chose not to be taken. The girls mother later, had another child, now 18 months, and my DIL's mother has taken the baby in. Your heart just melts when you know the circumstances that they were living in and to see them and get to know them, you just love them to pieces. I'm blessed to have such a son, as he was the one that felt it in his heart the desire to take them in. His home is so small, and with his wife's daughters there, as well, they can't take in the baby, but they see the little one often. Thanks Greta, for mentioning my son. When they came to my place the first time, they just melted your heart. After all, they are youngsters! They desire all the kindness and love they can get.

(((((DotMom))))) I'm so sorry you're being visited by all this grief and pain from every side. Never, ever, think of your self as a "Drama Queen." You're not. I feel so helpless in these situations. There's not a thing I can do to "make it better," and there's nothing I'd love to do more than to help take some of your hurt away. I am so thankful I got to meet you and Dir_ty Fingernails last summer. That trip was such a blessing for me. I still have photos I've not yet mailed to you and Judy. Jilli Bean is home! They got home around 2 this afternoon.I can't believe how tiny and absolutely perfect she is.She is a good baby too,or at least has been up to this point.Of course that could change any minute!LOL We are going to Lubbock tomorrow to see Rowdy.He is off everything and they are feeding him now through a feeding tube.They have moved him out of the NICU into the "growers" room.We are taking our 5th wheel up for the kids to stay in so Mom can be there with the milk supply.There is a place on the grounds where we can park the trailer with electricity and water furnished for $10.00 a day.DDIL called and asked if they have to pay up front or would they add it to their bill and they said,"Just write us a check when you leave!" This is a Godsend because the kids are broke and so are we and we didn't know how we were going to manage the two or three 200 mile round trips a week with the price of gasoline.This whole thing has had some "Divine" intervention though so I'm not really surprised! Finding out that the doctor taking care of Rowdy was one that DDIL knew well and worked with and trusted,plus the NICU nurse being her good friend.Just too much going on to be a coincidence. We found out a couple of days ago to that there has been an outbreak of the chicken pox in the hospital/neonatal unit where they would have been in Albuquerque had they stayed there to have the babies.She also has a job not far from Lubbock if she wants it when she is able to go back to work while Rowdy is getting well.This will help them get back on their feet so they can get back home! We will take some pictures tomorrow and I'll post them as soon as I can. Thanks again everyone for all the prayers.Just keep them coming because Rowdy still has a ways to go but I know he is going to be fine with a little time.Sorry this was so long.I got carried away.LOL

Wonderful news! If it's only that he my have to learn to walk again, he's young enough that his body is still learning mode, which might make it easier. Hope so anyway. What a real blessing - thanks for keep us informed.
