Red dining room help please

I would absolutely love some advice/opinions here. My red dining room has desperately needed curtains for a while now. I found some beautiful custom ones at an estate sale yesterday. My first question isÂdo you like that "swag" that hangs in front of the panels or should I just take it off and do simple ring top panels? The colors of the curtains are dark brown and green. I think they go fine with the upholstery on the dining room chairs. My concern is that they are not tying in well enough with the blue plate collection. I really donÂt want to take down my plate collection. How can I tie everything together better? There is some green in the rug but not a ton. IÂm looking for a simple solution that allows me to keep the curtains, rug and plates. One thought was that I could recover the two chairs that flank the piano in a fabric that ties it all together. Or more blue/green/red accessories? IÂd appreciate any advice you could give me. Thank you!

Room with previous upholstery and no curtains.
