Another Bin Bites the Dust in the Dining Room
Comments (9)Jeanne, not sure how I missed this post but it all looks great. The angel is an adorable cp with the mercury glass candle holders. Your getting alot of neat settings with those. Santa pictures are a wonderful addtion to your snowman decor. Looks like they used insulators on for the hooks? We made some of these with old wooden spools and door knobs that turned out pretty cute. So many neat things on the hooks and on the shelf. I swear girlfriend, you make everything look wonderful! Karen, so what color of legs have you decided on?LOL I would love it if your Christmas wish would could come true for you. I have gotten to the point I have issues with my legs when I'm on them to long. My knees have cracked for years and since I quit running they seem to be alot better. Now my waist and butt have a problem.haha Candy, we have replaced all of our closet rods and holders so I hear ya, girlfriend. I don't have a problem getting rid of clothes. I love giving them to friends and coworkers. Now I have to srart getting rid of dishes and decor tho.ouch! Punk...See Moreneed help finding a buffet/server for dining room
Comments (3)I had a terrible time finding a sideboard that would suit our home and our needs. I scoured antique/consignment shops, auctions, and looked at all major brands of furniture for something. All told, I spent close to two years on the exercise and I struck out completely. In desperation, I contacted a custom furniture maker, unsure I would be able to afford such a "luxury". Lo and behold! not only did the "custom" route turn out to be "in line" with the prices I had seen, but I was able to have features built into it to accomdate our needs. And in the wood I wanted! And it was made by talented tradesmen in our country. It arrived just over 3 1/2 mos. later (as promised!), in perfect condition, and was placed in its present site by the delivery team. Gone are the stacked silver chests, the piles of linen formerly stuffed into the pantry, and the open flatware organizer that lived on the kitchen counter for years. It ranks as one of the smartest purchases I've ever made, should have done it a year sooner....See MoreHelp, Need Paint Color For Dining Room????
Comments (2)Whether red is a dated color for dining rooms is a personal opinion. How did you like the look of your window treatments? I think that a color along the lines of Raspberry Truffle would look great in a 1900 home, deep but not staid...updated traditional....See MoreRed dining room help please
Comments (12)I think the window treatments read neutral enough and look nice in the room. Love the new fabric on your chairs, too, and see that you did the wall chairs in a complimentary fabric. Nice. The rug looks like it pulls from the blue and red if I'm seeing things correctly. I see no problem with keeping what you want in the room. I like different colors as it makes a room look less "serious" IMO. What you might think of doing is changing out the four smaller plates on the outside of your grouping to ones of the same size and style but with more of the greens in them. I also think the two pictures of the dogs might be moved to the hall wall between the two doors. I think with the rest of what's going on in the room, the frames look a little too ornate with the simple chandelier. Then you could replace with something more simple that ties the drapes in even more. I really like your room and could see having a nice dinner there :) ....See Morebusybee3
