With my first child, I craved Spaghetti and watermelon. With the second I had to have red licorice, and I'd eat it by the bagful!

With my first child, it was fresh peaches....in the winter in Minnesota. The second, lemons. I would eat them like oranges, everyone around me would cringe and pucker. LOL I can't remember any cravings with #3.

No pregancy cravings, but every now and then I need to slice a big dill pickle and top each with a piece of Velveeta cheese.

My cravings are all normal. When I was pregnant with my first, I craved jelly donuts. With my second, I had no cravings, but I couldn't smell ground beef frying. With my daughter, I wanted ice cream with peaches. With my youngest, I had very strong cravings for milk. He drinks milk like there's no tomorrow to this day.

Last week, I craved fish and chips. Drove to get some for lunch and the place wasn't open yet. I was so sad.....

I've never had 'weird' cravings.

I never have real cravings. I enjoy food and I'm just a tad overweight-maybe 5 lbs. When I was pregnant with my first child, I had morning sickness and only ate two foods I could tolerate in the morning: carrot sticks and gingerale. I had a real aversion to Chinese food when pregnant, even tho I normally love the stuff. Shortly after my first child was born, I was back to eating normally. One night my husband suggested Chinese food , I said "No, I don't like it." The next week I went to the doctor for a pregnancy test, which of course was positive!My two children were born 13 months apart.

I couldn't stand the smell of hazlenut flavored coffee when I was pregnant with DD 23 years ago, and to this day if I smell it I get a wave of nausea. I craved meat and cheese when I was pregnant, and I normally don't eat much of either. Now I crave crunchy foods, pretzels in particular.

When I was pregnant, I ate peanut butter sandwiches with raisins on them every morning. I was always low on iron, and my body was telling me this with this craving. I would also buy a jar of pickled herring and eat it on the way home. Don't have a clue why I had that craving. hehe!
Still love both, but don't eat them everyday!

When I was pregnant with son, I got sick when eating pizza and could not even stand the smell of pizza for years! I finally got over that but can't remember when it was...Maybe gradual?! With my first born I craved and had to have sardines with mustard. I can't stand the things now, but I could not get enough of them. I would eat them right out of the can. Also, I would crave mustard and would smear it on bread and eat it. I am not a big mustard eater but I was then. On pregnancy 2 and 3 I had no cravings at all.

Elbow macaroni with equal parts ketchup and mustard mixed in. Yummy.

I wouldn't call my craving weird. I crave things like red meat or cheese when my body needs protein or diary etc.

I guess where I'm weird about food is when I'm ill. I want either really really cold food like salads or sandwiches stacked with veggies or really hot spicy food like chili or hot Mexican or spicy Thai food.

Just the thought of eating bland things like broth turns my stomach when I'm ill.

I don't know if it was a craving or that I just liked it but black licorice and raw potatoes.....I still eat both, every chance I get.....I had no morning sickness with each of the 5 so I just ate and ate, lol.....

Never been pregnant, so never had weird pregnancy cravings.

My cravings are normal.....I do crave chips (my weakness), and love food in general.

Never been pregnant, I have in the past craved sweet tarts candies, I got so bad eating them that I started to smell it coming out in my sweat. I guess it was that acidic content I was craving. Then it just stopped as suddenly as it began.

I don't really crave much, I will get urges for stuff like chips or popcorn, especially if I am near a theater and can smell that theater popcorn! Then I just have to have some.

This has to do with my childhood and not hormone related. I grew up across the street from a Dutch family with a daughter I became close friends with.

The family taught me how to speak "Hollands", as they called it.

I learned how to say my friend's entire name; "Ine Philomena Helena Eliza Kluykmanns (whom I just found after 45 years!). Try writing that name on a grain of rice. LOL

And they introduced me to powdered salted and sweet licorice (zwart wit zout/zoet). Oh my, I loved it and still crave it from time to time. I actually bought some from on online Dutch candy site about 10 years ago. Impossible to find here in the states. :-(

Mine aren't strange, but when I was first pregnant I craved oranges. It was about the only thing I could keep down and I'd eat like 6 at a time. Later on it was lemons. Not uncommon, except before that I couldn't stand them. I also couldn't stand meat of any kind and I am such a carnivore normally. Guess that's a reverse craving :0

Too long ago to remember my pregnant craving.

I still enjoy a mayo and ketchup sandwich, but it's been years since I've had one.

I LOVE to scoop cottage cheese with BBQ potato chips. YUM!

Oh my... I just logged in, it's 1:46 am here. Reading all of your posts makes me hungry! But SunnyDJ, raw potatoes? Really?

Wildchild, I once was really down with a bad flue. All I wanted was fruits. Fortunately, I had grapes in the fridge. LOL, I think the grapes really saved me. Another strange hormone thingy, the only time that I can tolerate hot spicy food is during my time of the month. After it's over, my tongue just refuse any spicy food.

It's been very interesting to read your cravings, weird or not. Hope these will keep coming :o)
