Need to add Bathroom somewhere?

Hi
I am doing a full remodel basicly a rebuild of my house of last 5 years. I am getting to the end and want to install a 2nd bath. When I framed and finished Master I include a space for a small bathroom. But I didnt have money to finish it so I just drywalled it and am using it as WIC. I had planned on adding a closet across back wall of bedroom once bathroom fixtures were added. Now I dont want to loose that space. Will only have 11x13 master. So now Im back to planning.
Only thing I can think of is to add door into living room so I can loose hallway going to MBD. I really doing want to do this. I already insulated this wall for sound and I still hear tv a little. Plus it is a little weird.
I originally had master bedroom were living room is but living space was too small so I reworked layout.

I installed trusses so there is no load bearing interior walls. The bath that is done has electrical panel on end wall so i dont want to move that wall. I built one big bedroom for 2 little girls and when they got older I was going to wall up in between rooms. So there needs to be a door and closet would be nice. Anything else can be moved.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I"d move your master bedroom wall to between the right hand and middle (slider door?) and make it straight. And, then, add your closet somewhere in your now enlarged bedroom. That is probably still "messing with your insulated wall", but frankly, putting a closet along that wall will give you better sound insulation anyway.

Thanks for the input. That would make for a nicer masterbed room including the sliding door in it. But the living room is already a little small. 14x14 moving wall over 3 feet would make it 14x11 and my furniture would not fit without being in middle of walkway. Thought of switching livingroom and dining but like the idea of hiding the living room around the corner.

Neither option is going to return 100% on the dollar so which option do you prefer for your own lifestyle. I'm getting rid of the tub/shower combo in my master and replacing it with one larger shower because I don't use the tub. I hate using stall showers as they are incredibly confining if you want to do anything but stand under the shower head. I don't see the value in a second sink personally and am getting rid of it for a seated vanity area because that is how I use the master bath. But I am not remodeling for a mythical unknown buyer - I am remodeling solely based on my own needs and comfort.

The 5 foot turning radius is only important for public access. If a person needs a wheelchair, it is always possible for the person to get a zero turning radius wheelchair, so only a 32" turning radius is needed. More important is a roll-in threshold for the shower, adequate access for the toilet area, and either a door that opens outward or a sliding door for the toilet compartment. Also allow for a roll-up sink. When I remodeled my bathroom, I added a sink to the toilet compartment that could easily be replaced with a roll-up sink should the need arise. Another thing to consider is to allow for things like soap and shampoo and other shower toiletries to be accessible to someone in a seated position.

Thank you! Updated the original post with added dimensions for everything. Forgot to add ceiling height, but they're 9'. Vanity depth is 21". I also added back the existing windows. Any windows can be closed or made smaller. The closet is largely existing and we actually like it as is, so feel okay with that plan though it's clearly not ideal. We are widening it just enough to add an Elfa shelf unit (12" shelves in front, 16" near back) on the wall between the closet and bathroom (which currently is just a blank wall). The closet rod is on the top wall and will stay there (and has been sufficient for our needs). We played with a lot of plans to try to turn it into a reach-in closet, but it isn't really possible within the constraints of the house without ending up with other useless space elsewhere. We can give up to 54" to the closet, but it wasn't clear that 51" vs. 54" made a huge difference in usability (whereas it got us from 2'3 to 2'6 clearance between the shower and vanity in the bathroom).

Based on the location of the property my guess is the only permits needed may be a septic permit. Possibly an electrical permit, but maybe they have added additional permits since I lived in the area about 15 years ago. At least I hope they have, but depending on when things were done it is very likely it may not have needed a permit. As for adding a bathroom - it may be cheaper to just add on to the structure to add a bathroom than trying to add one inside the existing structure as long as it is on the same side as the septic tank. Meaning it would be easier to tie it in to the septic tank if on the same side and adding on means not cutting into existing foundation besides tying into the foundation at the spot where you add on. Although 1995 may seem like the septic is at the end of it's life it may not be if it has been carefully used (ie just normal use and adhering to septic use guideline) and pumped and no driving on the septic field. My old house was built in the 1970's and had the original septic still when I sold it in 2007 and it had no issues for the 8 years I lived there.

I think im going to move washer and dryer forward 5'. So you would walk from bath into a 5x5 WIC. It will be tight but its the only thing I can think of. Debating on an addition off back of the house too but I dont want to jump into a project that big right now.
