I got the pattern together I needed and have cut, pinned and sewn about 150 triangles to far.

Got the Christmas Swap blocks all cut and about halfway sewn when my Nellie Girl has started sounding like clunk, clunk. Grrrrr. DH is taking a look at her later, sounds like a trip to the repair shop to me.

Have selected the fabric for the next two birthday swap blocks and have patterns selected for the others.

Of course I didn't bother getting dressed today until 1pm because, well, it's my birthday weekend! LOL

I like this goal idea. My I Spy is coming along. I did finish piecing the top and get the borders on, like I wanted to. I've also just birthed the quilt, and just started to hand quilt it. I think it will take quite a while :)

I cut my black strings but have not, however, gotten them into the mail yet. Soon . . . hopefully tomorrow.

I worked hard today, finished my moms quilt top and made the back. now its in the pile to be quilted. not by me my friend has a gamble so i pay her for that part and then i make and sew on the binding. tue i sew again will see how much i get done.

here it is tue and today a friend and i armed with our machines went to my moms and sewed. i did 5 baby blankets, 2 panels for cars mad into a piece to use to run cars on. and hemed 5 dish towels. all of this was for my mom. my find did bibs.

I accomplished my mission of making a set of sheets and going through the big bag of fleece. I'm now in the process of finishing up one of my UFO's. Done is good and that is what I'm going for!

Wed night and I finally am done the wedding quilt I am making. A few days late on my goal but still OK. I have to have it at the quilters by Sat morning. I hope they have it done in a couple weeks so I can bind it before the wedding. Now I have to spend the next couple weeks getting the binding ready, sewing a cushion with the scraps and getting a label ready for it. I also need to do some baking, find a dress, make a ring pillow, and do the wedding favours and who knows what else!

sigh. I stopped working on the little cathedral windows baby quilt I started in May due to other issues.........and it sits gathering dust in my sewing room. The older this baby gets, the larger this quilt is going to have to grow. At this rate, I figure it'll have to be large enough to cover the seats in the car he buys when he goes off to college. You know you are in trouble when you start considering blocking around the pattern with large squares and wondering if it would look too "obvious".

Calliope, I chuckled when I read your post! Been there...

There's a few more days left in the week, but here's an update.

-Finish washing all the new fabric I bought while I was up north...... Not quite done yet.

-Get at least 2 or 3 rows put together on a Row By Row I've been working on...... Done

-Make a few dark Friendship Star blocks for said Row By Row (now that I have an idea of how I want to finish it!)...... All the dark ones are done and now I need to finish 3 more light ones.

-Decide what the last border will be on a Butterfly Jar quilt that's been waiting for a few months...... IÂve decided (turned out to be 2 borders) and the fabric is cut.

ok, I'm going to go ahead and post now. My ambitions were way to high for the week. I am not going to get the pieced border finished this week. All the cutting of my HST is taking way too long. I hate squaring things up. Maybe next week. I am working on it, just not going to be able to get it done.

I did it! I finished up my kaleidoscope quilt plus lesson photos and I'm feeling fine!

Now I must finish up work on Oct 6th party to celebrate my in-laws 70th wedding anniversary. You don't go to many of those any more. They passed the milestone last Friday but party is delayed for out of town family coming. And, we're responsible for all the work as my husband is an only child.

Can't commit to next week's goals because of above, but will keep my hand in now and then and get back to normal after the 6th.

Lynette, trimming HSTs is a real drag! I got the HSTs done for the Nick/Noah quilts (total 180). Can't face trimming them yet. I also got the wonky borders off Candace's quilt-thought I might be able to resew them, but I'll have to make at least one new border. No more sewing for a while. I have other plans for the next few days.Have a good weekend.....Geraldine

To those who are trimming HST's - I've learned how to trim them before opening them up into a square......have any of you done this?

Okay!! Mission accomplished. I finally got to the Laundromat to wash my rag quilt. I was so reluctant to going one might think as a child I had a nightmare about a clown chasing me through a Laundromat. But I got it done! And I wouldnÂt have if I hadnÂt committed here.

Geezerfolks( SharonG/Florida) would love to know how you trim the HSTs....Geraldine

I trim them when they're still a triangle so I only need to trim 2 sides (instead of four) and can do it without moving the ruler...zip along the side, then zip across the top.......makes it go faster for me. Are there other ways to make it go fast?

I'm sad to report that I did not get any of my goals accomplished except making sure this thread was here.
My DH has been sick and we have been busy with doctors. I have managed to work on some long forgotten hand quilting projects. One of them I now remember why it was long forgotten!LOL

I finished the applique on Aisling's quilt and just have to do the bunding on Grace's quilt. Juat have to learn how to upload photos but my hubby's not around to show me.

Geraldine, I know the feeling! lololol Of course there are 'special' rulers for doing it this way, but I just use the rulers I have as one of them always has the line I want to use for the seam line. If you're really good, you won't need the line, just the measurements...I'm not there yet. @:)......SharonG/FL

Goals accomplished:
- sent out two swap packets of squares
- met with my 7-year-old neighbor to sort through I-Spys for her own quilt.
- started organizing the basement sewing space, this will take a while to setup tables and powercords for working.

School semester just started, so will have to keep a realistic pace through the end of the year while both teaching and taking classes.

My goal was to finish the Peek-a-Boo I-Spy. It ought to be done by bedtime tonight, as I have sewn the two halves together and stitched down the last flaps. All that remains is to finish off and hide the ends where I sewed the flaps. I can do that while watching "Foyle's War" on TV. When I can get good lighting, I'll post a picture in the Gallery.

I Accomplished my goals this week. One less UFO in the pile!
