Charlees Glen Passed away

Charlee just called & Glen passed away at 8pm. She said he was at peace.

She wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts & prayers.

I'm at a loss for words, & my heart aches for her.

May Glen rest in peace.

Anne, you have such a wonderful way to tell a story. I love your perception of things. Honest, yet very soft. I am sorry your aunt has passed away, but you have wonderful memories, and it would have not been the same without her in your life. Trin

Years ago, my family camped on the Current River and drifted the river on rented inner tubes - What a Blast! The stuff I saw people floating down the river was unbelieveable. One group had a cooler with an inner tube wrapped around it and was drinking the afternoon away. We wore tennis shoes for fear there might be broken glass on the river bottom. My biggest mishap: I got a load of chiggers. I figured that I picked them up when I waded through tall grass going back to the tent.

I'm so proud of him for quitting smoking, Charlee. Now we need to work on you! When I quit, I just quit cold-turkey. Now there are so many aids on the market, you should be able to quit fairly easily once you make up your mind. Good luck with the drug companies. 5-10% sounds fabulous! I'm so glad to see you posting! We've missed you around here. And good luck with the dog. We got really lucky, a friend of ours just BEGGED to have the stray that found us and now she's happily living with him and his other dog and everyone is extremely happy. Especially me and my dogs! lolol 5 big dogs in this little house was just insane. Fortunately, we'd only had her for 5 days when he approached us wanting her. I hadn't gotten TOO attached yet, so it was do-able. She was a sweet girl, though, except for her propensity to fight for food and attention. There were a lot of flashing teeth for a while.

Charlee, here's a good site for Drug Assistance -it list many companies that offer help. You will have to get verification on his condition, dire need for drug, etc. from Glen's doctor, etc. http://www.cancersupportivecare.com/drug_assistance.html (I'm kinda disappointed that his doctor(s) didn't offer some help in obtaining the drug.) I know the feeling of not being able to afford drugs to keep a loved one alive. I lost insurance that had paid for DH's transplant drugs when I retired, but he is a veteran & VA helps a great deal with the cost now. Y'all are still on my prayer list. God bless! Suzi

Charlee, I am so very sorry to hear this. You and yours are in my prayers.

I remember when we first met at Sandy's. In the gift exchange, I got the gift you and Glen brought. I still have it hanging on a wall and think of you two often.
