if your plants are this big and flowering beautifully, i'm sure mine are never going to flower this year. my plants are only about a foot high. thanks for the pic. they are gorgeous!

If you buy peony roots from any of the mass merchandisers such as Walmart, where they sell them 3 or 4 to the box for 10 to 12 dollars, expect them to be MINIMUM roots. The price is right and the difference is selection and the time required before the first bloom. They are available NOW and should be potted up and allowed to establish roots in a one gallon pot until this fall when they will be ready to plant in the garden, preferably in a full sun location. Do not expect the first bloom for the first two years. The foliage will look good all summer and die-back to the ground in the fall. Al

Rocky is HOME!!! thanks everyone. Melinda sent him home with goodies, so, this afternoon when the ice cleared I went into town Rocky was waiting and as usual he claimed to be starving. Melinda sent him home with goodies We opened the Hershey's gold bar and shared that right away. Rocky declared that a fine snack but he's looking for MORE so I'll use the pecans in his chocolate chip cookies and try to sneak the pistacios away for myself. It was me! That‘s a nice one! Thank you! As for mine, I couldn’t find someone to repair it so I ordered epoxy filler that can be sanded and painted. It’s labeled as off-white but its very much a light green gray. I filled the gaps but it kind of looks like I used wadded up chewing gum. Pretty. I thought I could sand by hand but I keep scratching other parts of the lamp so I need to get a dremel tool. I was able to color match paint so I think when it’s finally all done it will look fine and not be noticeable. It‘s in use right now but I have things strategically placed so you can’t see the half fixed damage.
