I upgraded to FF4 and am still able to save all my pages by just using the _ button at the top of the screen, then I put my computer to sleep. When I open it in the morning all my pages come up (I usually have 5). Works for me anyhow.

Ladies, I've been told you should always close all your windows when you aren't using your computer. If you stay on the internet with windows open, you are more susceptible to hacking. I don't know how safe or unsafe it is, to be honest, but I always close everything just in case. I don't shut the computer down - I have backups and scans that run at night.

Jasdip, on Chrome you can do that. Click the "wrench" options button, then under Basics, On startup, select Reopen the pages that were open last. Opera allows this too. I can't understand why more people don't just use Opera. They're really missing out.

I just updated to v4 of Firefox. Looks to me like they're trying to make it Internet Explorer Jr. Firefox's biggest problem is you need to add about 20 extensions to make it a practical browser and give it some basic features that are standard on other browsers. However there are a few cool extensions, or "add-ons" as they want to call them now but Chrome is rapidly getting them. I can't believe it's taken them this long for Firefox to finally make paste-and-go a part of the browser. Talk about behind the times. (Sigh)

There is a control for the tabs so the last ones open will open upon restart. Session Manager allows you to do this. It took a while to go through all the add-ons to find which one. And with v4, many of the add-ons aren't compatible so it'll take a while to catch up. Another of Firefox's shortcomings. But for certain things it's an acceptable browser. But for use, Chrome has overtaken it for my use.

And now the Firefox lovers are going to jump all over this! LOL

There is another option I see.
Click the orange Firefox button, then select options to open the options window

Go to the General panel

Change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

With Chrome, I have it automatically open my email sign-in and the Table pages.

I use FF to catch up on old pages of GardenWeb and others; mainly....no "solely!" to catch up and go through recipes I may have missed or interests me. So I don't use it regularly, but I will set it up so that the last pages open, as they used to.
