To me, Suellen's is hands-down the worst! :)

Hmm...I have to say - I kinda LIKE them all - cut up in small pieces, they'd be very useful, IMO.

Nanci, could you tell me what I could use it for? I have yet to find one, LOL! It would stand out like a sore thumb on a scrap quilt. It doesn't even go with the other Fairy Frost fabric!

Rebecca, if you cut 1-inch strips for string pieced blocks you could use up some of it.....anyway, that's how I would use it.

this is tough voting for only one, but over all I would have to go with Suellen - I do believe the others could be used in something with small pieces and have it look OK, but Suellen's that really has limited possibilites to use the ugly stuff.

For fun our guild is having members make something from ugly fabric as a contest. Everyone got the same fabric and it has to be used on the FRONT of your project....... this will be interesting!!!!

I have 2 fatquarters of that awful stuff (and saw another at JoAnn's yesterday!).

Per Barbara's suggestion, I could cut it up and send it out to anyone interested in a contest! Maybe a small quilt or wallhanging :)

Where do you guys even get this stuff? LOLOL. I have eleven yards of blecky white cotton with yellow flowers and dark purple butterflies on it. It's sat in a drawer for at least five years and I haven't found a use for it yet. What was I thinking? But Cheryl's has to be the ugliest fabric I have ever seen. You can't even identify what it's supposed to be, and yes it looks like something from X files. suellyn's is a close second. It's not downright ugly like Cherly's but it's saccharine in its nostalgia and
it's one of those patterns like my purple butterfly fabric.........you think it's sort of passable until you try to use it in something and can't. Actually, I sort of like the black and gold. LOLOL.

The first one reminds me of cat toys. Since two of my kitties are named after characters from the X Files I guess that explains why I see cat toys when I look at that. I could see it used in small pieces in a quilt with other bright color fabrics.

I happen to see possibilites for number two. Imagine a leaf block with black background fabric. It is workable, but what is up with the lavender edge?

Number three gets my vote hands down. What on earth would one do with that fabric?

I have to support Cheryl's as most ugly! When I first looked I thought they were bicycle helmets or something, but oooooo, just can't see using it! LOL

I love Fairy Frost so could probably find something to do with Rebecca's. And could see Suellen's as a focus fabric in a soft nostalgic baby quilt.

I'll vote for Suellens as the worst with Rebecca's coming in 2nd.

Rebecca, I would use your piece in a japanese quilt... I am actually going to go look the stores for a piece of it myself LOL I can see the perfect spot for it with a fabric I have (has a touch of the gold shiny in it as well) :)

I think the 1st is actually interesting in that watermelon on acid, kitty-toy kind of way.

Sometimes I like black & gold, this one is so-so.

Thanks for the EM Maryliz, now I can see Sue Ellen's (even tho' she says the colors aren't true). Sorry everybody to hold up the vote, I ran over here as soon as I saw the EM.

I vote for the black/gold (Rebecca's).

Sue Ellen's may be odd, but I don't think it's such a dog. (My screen reads it as aqua ground w/ peach, tho' she says it's more blue.) It reminds me of Marie Antoinette, I can imagine it in a reproduction/period piece.

The more I look at Cheryl's, the more it grows on me (maybe I'm weird) especially if it were cut up small.
