Asking for good thoughts if you could

My 47 y.o. DD had her second stroke last week. Tomorrow she has to be at the hospital at 7:30 am having had no more than 4 hours sleep or they can't do the testing. She is having three tests done and will be there most of the day. Praise be, she hasn't suffered any lasting damage so far. It has been pretty scary. The MRI shows spots on the brain....but they don't know if they were caused by the strokes or if the strokes were caused by them. They have ruled out a couple of things so far. Hopefully they will know more after tomorrow. Her DGM on her fathers side had several serious strokes. She came to my DM funeral and had a massive stroke. She lived another month but never regained consiousness. Please send some of the good KT thoughts and prayers her way. Her name is Jodi.

That is so young to have a stroke. I will certainly keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Jodi please get better, we are all pulling for you.

He is home tonight and nicely drugged up for pain. The cut is only afew inches, but it hurts. I will tell him he can visit FL, MI and LA, but ladies, keep in mind that he has a daughter in AZ that has a 5 year kitchen remodel going on. Don't ask....SIL wants his garage done first. (((Gabby)))) My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours along with any others in "Ike's path". Just talked to our sister In Sugarland/Houston.... they had windows taped with mattresses up against them and had spent the day trimming tree branches. They were outside with most of their neighbors watching the sky. She mentioned tornados are a concern. I could hear the wind howling as we talked. I think this has convinced her to sell and move to Nevada!

Just got back from the hospital. She was admitted. They started pushing her IV. She was severely dehydrated was anemic to the point they said she may have to have a transfusion. The Dr. on call ordered lots of tests including a cat scan. She does have a skull fracture and he is going to talk to us about this tomorrow. It doesn't look to promising as of right now. There's more going on that I don't understand, hopefully the Dr. can clear this up for me tomorrow. Thanks again everyone for everything. Patty

I will keep Jodi in my thoughts and prayers. My mom had a stroke when she was 48....a bad one but she recovered very well and that was many many years ago and not many treatment options.
I am hoping the outlook is good.
Please keep us updated.
And try to get as much rest as you can.

Thank you all for your kind words. She won't get the results of these tests until the 19th. I know she is sure going to be tired after only 4 hours sleep. I hope they find something with all these tests. Her DGM history really makes me so worried.
