but nothing to near me. However, it is heading to near my daughters place.

Lots of hail. I need to go measure it. Right now, there are two big pieces in the freezer.

Earlier, we had 93 degrees, then the storm hit, and we are down to 84, but it feels like lot less.

One broken window... but otherwise, all seems ok.

Ouch!

Just hitting here right now. I made the kids get out of the pool about an hour ago when we saw lightning.

Oh, man, I feel for y'all. I hope a few damaged plants is all the damage you all have from those storms. We had a hailstorm here a few weeks ago, March 23rd. It was one of the top three worst hailstorms we've ever had in Austin, coincidentally all three on March 23rd, just different years. Downtown Atlanta had some major storms but nothing like the outlaying areas of Atlanta got. Just a LOT of wind here and 1.5" of rain in two hours. Because we've had so much rain lately I've already had everything fixed to drain as far away from the house as possible. Incredibly, the dogwood still has blooms on it! There is quite a bit of stuff up on the roof (we could hear it fall, possibly squirrels or possums, they sometimes blow out of trees) Hopefully Nell faired equally as well.

Glad you're ok, how scary to have a tornado so close. Alex and I got woken by pounding rain, thunder and sirens going off in our town. On and off they went, the rain and wind would ease up and then it'd start again. Finally went to bed and got woke up again around 3 am. Lauren slept through the whole thing. Lot of wind damage here and in nearby cities. I'm so tired but had to wash some scrubs for work tomorrow, otherwise I'd be in bed already. I hope everyone else is ok. Lot of people died here and surrounding states.

They tested our tornado sirens all over town today. They usually just test at 10 a.m. on the first Wednesday. Today this went on for hours. Poor Jake wanted to lie in from of the screen door and look out. When the sirens got loud he would howl and I would call him to me and put my hands over his ears. The crazy cats act like they don't even hear it.

That is LARGE hail. I hope your car was in the garage! I bet the local body shop is going to have lots of business next week.

As far as I could tell last night, no major damage. Crawled around in the attic before going to bed.

Yes, my car is in the garage. I park in there all the time... on purpose. I sure don't ever want it to look like it did in 2010, after that hail.

But... I have to go to work.. and it is still raining. According to the weather people on TV, the hail is south of here....

No way will I ride my bike to work this morning, in this rain, with these flooded roads....

Stormy season has arrived.

Some incredible hail you had! I've thankfully never seen hail that size. Glad everything is fine in your area.
