Okay Ladies this is the block for September block lotto.

All blocks are due by the end of the month! You may send up to 3 blocks. You will send a $1.00 along with your blocks for postage and the envelope for the return blocks...Please also add your name and address to each block.

The colors for this block are like the colors are on link.

Please prewash all fabric.

It isn't the 'easiest' pattern in the world because of the size of the tiny pieces and getting each point to match up, but if you cut the pattern into quarters, you'll notice it is simply a buckeye beauty block. I'm on my third quilt now using Roberta's Jewel's and it makes into an awesome finished product. If I do another one, and I probably shall, I'm going to just size it up so that each little block is four or six inches, instead of the 3-1/2. That makes it much easier to get the matches spot on. The tinier the sub assemblies, the more critical that the cut and seam on each one is spot on, as any error in that is cumulative.

Bringing this back to the top. Vicky thanks again for taking September. You homeschool, don't you? You should be getting busy with that now, aren't you? We still haven't had anyone step up to offer to take over the lotto. I was a little reluctant to volunteer, as I am a relative newbie on the forum and the winter months are busy ones for person in my business. I also thought somebody else might really want to coordinate it. If they do, that's fine. If nobody else wants to, I'd be willing to give it a try, and just continue to do it exactly how you've been doing it, since it works so well. I'm a little flaky, but I think I can manage. If nobody else wants to take it over, and I do, I hope to continue to submit blocks and have a chance to win if that is OK.....and may ask somebody else on the forum to do the drawing part of it. So, please if anyone else wants to do this, speak up now!

Hello friends.........I've not been around the forums much in the last two days. I have noted all the messages and will do the drawing with what is here at midnight tomorrow night. Thank you for participating. I had to bid adieu to my last kitty of the household today, and have had to go through it now four times in as many weeks, each one from a different diagnosis. I am numb as this one was not expected, when she succumbed to FIP, after having lived with feleuk for eleven years. I shall be posting October's Quilt lotto block directly and this shall be the last one I'll be hostesses for, handing the baton back to Cathy (woodenzoo) for the November Lotto. You all have been lovely, and it was a priveledge to be part of it and I'll be participating in them, even though I won't be managing them. Good luck to all tomorrow.

I think a pink backgroud fabric with a dark green and shades of red for the buds.100% cotton and prewashed!
I think this would be a pretty quilt for valentine!

I agree that would be beautiful, but a lot of us have just finished the pretty in pink project (or like me, started it and didn't finish it ;-( So some of us may be 'pinked out'.

I'm also a little concerned that the background would be hard to coordinate with each of us picking out what we think is the appropriate pink. I'm also a little reluctant to make blocks in a shade I won't use in my decorating, just in case I win, LOL. I know I would not use a pink quilt. I like your pattern choice, and I'll have to think on it.
