Pidge, you made ME remember Snow White!----it was the first film I remember seeing, also----it was when we lived in DC or Tacoma Park, MD. My favorite scene was when Snow White was cleaning the cottage--- I was enthralled by how beautiful she made it-- --it was a HOME when she was through! I was in awe. The Queen frightened me so much, I couldn't sleep. I remember Mom also taking me to see a foreign film---it was Japanese and sub-titled. She kept explaining to me in whispers what the plot was about---I was 4 or 5 ---I was worn out from hearing her whisper in the dark and people started 'Hurumphing' at her. I remember the beautiful Japanese mother had hidden her child from the Japanese soldiers, then she hid, but they found her---I was so frightened. I think I saw it later in life----was it 'The Pearl'? I just can't remember the title.... What about the shower scene from 'Psycho'?---Did ANYONE take a shower for the following three WEEKS?!!!! ---The foggy, heather-laden scenes from 'Brigadoon'..... How about Abbot and Costello and the 'hauling the piano up the long flight of stairs' scene? Snort-Snort--choking on popcorn.... Audrey Hepburn, gazing at the goodies in Tiffany's windows at dawn----that beee--yuuuu-tiful long neck of hers.... Grace Kelly slowly turning on the lamps in Jimmy Stewart's apt. in 'Rear Window', her wonderful charm bracelet barely clicking against the lamps' necks as she turned the knob on each one---I think I was 9 or 10----I just HAD to be her when I grew up!!! How could this world hold such beautiful creatures as Hepburn and Kelly? Pidge; could you name some more of your favorites? You're so good at this film stuff----you'd wake our memories up!!

My favorite B&W movie is The Women, directed by George Cukor, 1939. Oklahoma, as I recall, was in color. I tried to watch it recently, since I had recorded it on DVR, but 30 minutes of it was all I could bear. I'm not a fan of musicals, however, except really off-beat ones like Help!. GWTW was in color also. Other B&W movies I like include Night of the Iguana, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Suddenly Last Summer, The Rose Tattoo, Hunchback of Notre Dame (with Anthony Quinn and Gina Lolabrigida), Bringing up Baby, The Day The Earth Stood Still, It Came From Outer Space, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and Citizen Kane. These probably aren't your taste, but they are old and B&W! In L.A., any movie that is more than 10 years old is considered old. Lars

crafty lady, I have a folder the unzipped files go to, not crowding the desktop, then I can do them at my leisure. Never any probs previously, and still think it is the site doing this, as when I use my FF browser, have no problems at all, can change from media files, to win RAr and it stays when clicked, as won't do when I use IE. Am not having any luck going to Accessories, etc., to change the titles either, so what else can I do? I also do save target as, and always went directly to zipped folders, now becomes a movie clip, even before I can download.

Just saw Halloween (with a very young Jamie Lee Curtis) again and found myself laughing! It scared the dickens out of me in 1978, when it came out, because I was just at the age of those baby-sitting girls. But it is really a very badly made horror film, compared to today's standards. The all-time horror film for me is Black Christmas. Does anyone remember that one? I haven't seen it in years--no doubt it's badly made, too--but it sure was frightening. About a woman's college house where the psycho killer is actually in the attic and calling the girls downstairs. Honestly, I don't even remember the plot.
