Tile Q for Bill V: Architerra Jessinian for B/S?

I'm hoping Bill Vincent will see this post. I'm considering as a backsplash the wildly expensive but gorgeous Medeival Relics Jessinian Pattern tile from Architerra out of Austin, Texas. So here's my question for Bill: have you ever installed this as a backsplash? Would you consider it safe, after sealing, to withstand kitchen spatters?

I'm going to try and post a link to their site so you can see the tile in question. If it doesn't take you straight to the concept board page, and it might not, it can be accessed as follows:

go to architerra.com and enter the site

click on the "design ideas" tab

click on "classic relics" and you will see various concept boards; look for "New Jessinian Crown" finished in a copper background with cumin details.

I've fallen in love with this tile in this color combination, but its price is outrageous and I don't want to make an expensive mistake.

Any hands-on experience with this tile would be appreciated! Thank you.
