Definitely go green (lovely warm/cool/summer/winter/nurturing color!) and definitely go for the green that's been pinging for you all this time. Since rich, luscious greens have been out of style for a very long time now, I'm recommending yet another choice--forget settling for less on this detail. Splurge by seeking the right tile for your look at shops that carry upscale lines made with fine glazes and dyes.

Why can't you go dark? That tile you have picked out is nice but I think dark deep green like in your inspiration picture would pull together your kitchen without being gloomy or oppressive.

Anyway, do go green, do use your copper (I do like that glass though), and like Rosie said, splurge and get something perfect. I like these from Pewabic but I'm not sure that's your style or what green you're really after...but green is never wrong.

Use your the photos you've collected to help you (trusting your taste). Like the others said, keep the copper and don't 2nd guess using a darker tile if all your favorite kitchens have that. The light one won't be the same. Your room can take some stronger, nice, rich color.

What is the name of the tile in the photo (the large green square)? It looks like what I just installed (Tate Green by Ceramica Magica). So I have to say I love the tile.

KitchenRedux, yes, it is the same tile you installed. I neglected to mention in my post that it comes in other sizes than the one in the picture, including the mosaic that you used on that amazing bathtub. Since you have it in your home, you can vouch for the fact that it's hard to photograph in a way that shows the true color.
The sample I saw of the mosaic was horizontal, and it never occured to me that one could use it vertically. Wow. Is yours finished now? I'd love to see the finished picture.

Oh how I wish I was done!!!! The bathroom is roughly in the same state as the photos. In theory, we should be done in the next few weeks.

I like to say that the tile has a lot of character and it's hard to see its true beauty in a photo. Every time I look at it I see different hues...

Thanks for the compliment on the bathtub (it has given me quite a bit of grief). I needed a tile I could install and would allow for the curve of the front of the tub deck. We are planning on installing Thassos Marble - White (12x12) on the tub deck (I wanted a solid surface for the tub deck but the estimates came in around $5k so that wasn't going to happen). We will also be putting the Thassos on the tops of the vanities (the installer promises very thin grout lines) and placing vessel sinks on top.

I am trying to come up with back splash ideas and now that I see you using the tile in your kitchen I am going to have to make another trip back to the tile store and see if they have something for my kitchen.

Kitchenredo, you are right, that tile has so many subtle hues in it, that it is constantly changing. In my own kitchen I found it to look almost blue grey during the midday. I'm very intrigued with the way you've use it. Did you butt the ends?

It sounds as if you really want the green. I think you just need to find the one that speaks to you. It's got to be out there! I personally, liked some of the choices fiori picked out, especially the third one with the copper. Good luck!

SLC, the copper tiles came from Great Lakes Copper on Ebay. They were a fraction of the price of comparable copper tiles through other sellers. I also bought my vessel prep sink through them. The vessel sink was intended for a bathroom, but they modified the drainhole for me, so that I could use it in the kitchen. They were so accommodating and my sink is one of the top three things in my kitchen. Everybody comments on the sink!

Seeing your tile again, in a variety of sizes in kitchenredo2's house makes me think it would work quite well, especially with your copper accents.
