I'm super talentless but I'm pretty sure I can do better than some of these people.

Yeah, first act made it thru too.

I caught that while channel surfing....she was very good, I also caught that man & woman magic act where she started in a box while he held the drapes, then he went behind the frapes and almost instantly, the drapes dropped and she was standing there & he was in the box. I'm not a big fan of 'magic' acts, but this was was something. Dottie

Shoot, I should have posted. It was on again last night. I thought the judges were a whole lot easier on him than some of those acts before him. They made note of the fact that he was so young and the only one who had never appeared on the show before and didn't know what to expect. I thought Sharon Osbourne was very supportive. (He won the people's choice--the one where we all voted earlier.) He did an excellent job--I didn't care for the song either, but he's so darned cute. That smile is just beautiful! You have every right to be proud and I agree we will be seeing Drew again! If not, he will always have it on tape to show his grandkids :-) For right now--good luck for your football team, Drew!

I was surprised Antonio didnt make it, and he looked really shocked. I think the girls are very likeable and their story touches people, but they're definitely not the best singers. But the fact that they're singing like that is amazing, considering their illness. I thought Antonio was good but her performance last night kinda bored me. It was just alot of fire all over the place and I didnt think the act itself translated on tv as well as it may have in person. I think that cost him votes.

what was the first act? I do not normally get to watch, DH is out of town. i just saw Ryan Somebody sing, he was awesome. The other stuff is a joke, so far.

I hate it when they put silly acts on - I want to see real talent, not waste time on that weird "fun" stuff! LOL

I think they aim for a wide variety of different types of acts the program certinly wont be boring!!

The parrot sure was cute! I wasn't crazy about a lot of the other acts though.

That "un-talent" should not have even got into the show.

Oh boy was Howey upset!! If I had his phobia I would have walked off. It was funny but very disrespectful to Howey.

the junk stuff they let get through is simply a waste of time and should not be there, good talent could be in the place of those losers and they are not even funny.
the guy that fell off the stage should never have made it though that far.

The bald guy that played piano and sang was great, he was really the only one I thought had real talent.
The Florida dance group was good too and I did like the glow in the dark dance group.

Howie didn't seem as upset as I believe he should/would have given his OCD. I believe it was not a surprise, but totally scripted and he knew about it.

I was totally creeped out by a number of the "talents", especially the old men in diapers. Wha? Ewww.

Poor Howie, I felt his discomfort and wanted it to be over.

Loved the guy and piano. Amazing vocals. They called him a diamond in the rough but I thought he was good just the way he is. Something a rough diamond is far more interesting than a clean and polished one.

Piers, baffles me. Absolutely baffles me as to what he likes and what he doesn't. Such an odd bird he is.

Call me a cynic, but I think that the Howie germaphobe thing is bunk. He won't shake hands but will do a fist bump, then touches chairs, tables, pens. If he doesn't mind being fist bumped, why would he mind being touched on the head. Doesn't make sense to me. JMHO

I remember Howie playing in the Celebrity Poker tournaments, he played with purple surgical gloves on. I thought that was a hoot.

I only watched about half of the show, but found it pretty entertaining. Even the stupid acts were fairly funny.

I do think Howie has OCD. See the link below for an interview he did a couple years ago.

Yes, I believe Howie has OCD. I recently read his book, "Here's the Deal - Don't Touch Me". It was hilarious and a bit sad. But there are different types of OCD and much difference in severity. I still think he was a willing participant in that first act.

I agree that he was a willing participant and am sticking to my theory. I think he works it for all it's worth. It's his gimmick.
