Darn, I missed it. The phone rang and I couldn't get off.

Thanks for this post Patti! I was very nervous before and less than thrilled with the judges critiques after. This was his best performance of his life and I was very happy for him! The other acts are leaving me without words, to say the least.... Looking forward to the 16 yr. old girl coming up.

I thought he seemed very confidant and sang well... I have to agree the judges were harsh (especially Howard). Wishing the best of luck to Drew!!

Drew was very good. He probably has a chance ,although the judges were a little harsh. My fav was the parrot act. That was fabulous.

I want to hear Drew sing more songs.

He's so talented, and I like his personality too.

While he didn't win, he seems like a very sweet young man. I would be very proud of him if he were my grandson.

Me too! He'll be back next year, I hope. I think he did a good job, but I didn't care for the song.

Jae, sorry that Drew didn't make the semifinals. What a great experience for him though and I'll bet opportunities will arise from his appearance on the show! He's a very talented and personable young man... I'm sure we'll all be seeing him again in the future.

That he made it that far, that's awesome! Wish I'd known to watch. Good job Drew!

Drew is still young and it was a great experience for him. I can't even imagine singing in front of a large audience and doing as well as he did. Kudos to Drew. He does have talent.

Thanks for the nice comments. I haven't talked with him since last night but I think he is fine with the outcome. He is on a plane right now headed home so he can get to football practice today in order to play tomorrow night. Singing is just a part of who is right now and he is multi-talented enough and young enough that he doesn't have to make that decision right now. The experience at AGT will last a lifetime and teach him a lot about life in the real world, good and bad.

Shoot, I should have posted. It was on again last night.

I thought the judges were a whole lot easier on him than some of those acts before him. They made note of the fact that he was so young and the only one who had never appeared on the show before and didn't know what to expect. I thought Sharon Osbourne was very supportive. (He won the people's choice--the one where we all voted earlier.)

He did an excellent job--I didn't care for the song either, but he's so darned cute. That smile is just beautiful!

You have every right to be proud and I agree we will be seeing Drew again! If not, he will always have it on tape to show his grandkids :-)
